Locanda del Borgo — Hotel in Prunetto

We came for a weekend with the children and hadn't arranged anything but the stay itself. The last bit of driving is tricky: there are two access roads and they are both steep and narrow; I'd advice to take the road that goes up rather than the one by the castle when you arrive and the other one to leave. As we hadn't arranged for dinner we couldn't eat there (contact the owners if you want dinner on site), but they booked a nearby restaurant where we had great food for a low price. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic with local produce and fresh croissants. The crostata cake they served was superb. Immersa nella pace assoluta e circondata dalla verde e meravigliosa alta langa, la locanda si trova ai piedi del suggestivo castello di prunetto e in posizione dominante sulla vale. |La struttura dispone di un comodo parcheggio, di un ristorante vegetariano molto buono e con ottimi prezzi (verificare per tempo che sia aperto) e di un bar. |Le camere sono funzionali, con frigo, TV, asciugacapelli e wifi. |La colazione, servita all'aperto, su una meravigliosa terrazza, è varia e ricca: molto buoni i formaggi a km 0 (specialità della zona) e la torta alle nocciole (altra eccellenza locale). |Ma ciò che fa la differenza è Marlene, la padrona di casa, simpaticissima, molto gentile e cordiale, sempre disponibile e pronta a soddisfare qualsiasi richiesta, laddove possibile. Wenn man auf Durchreise ist, ist es ein sehr guter Ort um einen Stop über Nacht zu machen. Die Gastgeberin war sehr lieb und hatte ebenfalls Ideen zum Essen gehen mit ihren Kontakten. Es gibt Frühstück mit allerlei Dingen, ein Zimmer mit allem was man braucht. Es ist zwar klein aber fein mit einem Bad. Nebenan ist ein Schloss was man morgens gut vor der Abreise noch mal von außen sehen kann. Es gibt WLAN. Es ist eine schöne Aussicht aber Achtung bei der Hinreise: die Straßen sind sehr eng und die Kurven gehen teilweise um einen 180 Grad Schlenker. Mit einem VW Bus geht es noch aber mit Wohnwagen und Wohnmobil...
