Positives: room was spacious, fold out bed fairly comfortable, separate dining table and couch handy, and bathroom quite good. Ability to (barely) cook, and cheap compared to other nearby accommodation. Conveniently located a short walk from shops and bus stop. Villabassa is lovely. Negatives: obscenely late check in time (5pm), arrived on the dot of 5 and nobody there, after calling the number had to wait half an hour and phone twice for someone to arrive to let us in. Told us the wrong wifi password. Kitchen described as fully equipped; it consisted of two hotplates, a sink, and a small array of pots and cutlery/plates (which were enough for our basic needs but wouldn’t be for anything more, no chopping board for example). No kettle is a minus because the hot plate was slow and takes a good 30 mins to boil water. Kitchen tap leaks. Didn’t have any basic supplies (rubbish bin bag, kitchen sponge, cloth or detergent) and had to ask for them. Housekeeping staff super loud, yelling and crashing around the next door apartments while we were trying to rest during the day (we were sick). Room felt quite strange and dark. Overall, a place to stay that was cheaper than other nearby options and allowed us to cook and refrigerate food. But I think it was still a little expensive for what it was, and the customer...

😢: The reception and main building are located at the address given in the Booking description. On arrival, we discovered the property has several buildings, and our room was about 700 meters away (Via Johann Jaeger Strasse 36). This wasn’t a major issue, as that building also had parking nearby. However, the garage has a very narrow entrance, which may be difficult for larger cars or roof racks. The building is also right next to railway tracks, and our ground-floor window and balcony faced them directly. Train traffic wasn’t heavy, but the noise may bother some guests.

We are not demanding and don’t need luxury, but we felt very uncomfortable in the room. The main problem was a strong, unpleasant odor coming from the fridge and kitchen cupboards. Even after thoroughly cleaning the fridge, the smell remained. It was so bad that we had to keep the balcony door open (with trains passing just a few meters away).

The kitchen had no kettle. A few hours before arrival, we were informed that no cleaning supplies were provided and only one roll of toilet paper was included (3 people, 3 days). We had to buy toilet paper, dish soap, sponge, and other basics ourselves.

There was no toilet brush in the bathroom.

I booked a room through their website and upon arrival with a confirmation email in hand, they denied me a room, claiming there was no confirmation in their system.... despite the two emails I had received from them that clearly said my reservation was confirmed. The receptionist did not apologize and did not offer to rectify their error and turned me and my family away. We were forced to find last minute lodging in the area at over triple the cost. I recommend not staying here due to a large error on their part costing hundreds of euro, and a staff that didn't care about it.
