My Wife and I will both agree the rooms at Hotel Garni Roberta are amazing! We stayed here for our honeymoon and could not have made a better choice. We booked for three nights but could have spent our entire trip here. Roberts was very friendly and a pleasure to meet. The hotel has top end appliances key card entry with sturdy doors and very comfy beds. We stayed on a room on the top floor an fell asleep to the sound of a babbling brook. The balcony had an amazing view of the sunrise against the mountains and tree tops. I had no idea they were there since we arrived at night. We had a tv and coffee maker but was not needed due to the delicious meals available in the lobby and the beautiful scenery all around. We were suggested to go to Mount Marmolada which had beautiful views and for history buffs out there walkable trenches from the Great War. Not too far away there are many towns with a variety of activities. We decided to go hiking in the mountains and paragliding which was an amazing experience that was only a few minutes away. The are also many cable cars that can take you o the top which are not to expensive. Along the route to some of these towns are amazing views of the lake! If you come here during the winter there is a ski lift right outside! The food here is absolutely amazing!! This was my favorite part of our stay, the food!! The breakfasts in the morning with the view of the mountains was something I will remember for the rest of my life. It could not have been better. The pastries, the fruit, the cheese, the meats were all amazing!! Late at night we have some snacks and wine and had such an amazing time! There s an onsite sauna and ski room. This is a must stay at location for anyone traveling to the Dolomites or to Italy regardless of the season! I will be recommending this to all my friends and family and I hope to be...
Read moreI had booked this B&B because of its good reviews, but I cannot recommend it. The hostess was only interested in money and her hospitality was rather low. I had to wait 1.5 hours to check in, and then I was charged an extra fee. (As a result, I paid the same price as a 4-star hotel.)
LocationIt's located in a secluded area between Bolzano and Cortina d'Ambezzo. It feels like a mountain behind the Dolomites, far from anywhere.
Check-in We were left alone for 1.5 hours because the hostess was busy serving dinner. I wondered why we, the guests, had to pay a large amount of money just to please the hostess. It was awful.
Room There was certainly a mountain view, but it was across the parking lot, so it wasn't great.
Food There were no vegetables, but the food was plentiful and reasonably tasty. The host, who was in charge of meals, was a nice guy, which was a relief.
other She claimed that we had double-booked (we had no intention of reserving two room I thought it might be some kind of mistake),However, she refused to our circumstances and claims. "The room can no longer be sold to anyone else, so I've suffered a huge loss!" and "Just pay the money." I checked multiple hotel booking sites right then and there, and found that the rooms at this inn were still available.
we were left alone for about 1.5 hours untile we agreed to pay extra charge. We drove eight hours to this rural B&B and she never said a word of welcome or appreciation to us, and I'm so grateful for the most amazing experience we've ever had.
6 special thanks The above is my personal opinion, but I'd like to add that the husband and the other staff were very friendly. The rest is up to...
Read moreWe loved every minute of our 9-day long stay at this fantastic hotel sitting on a serene meadow under the south face of Marmolada. Garni Roberta is a peaceful oasis, centrally located, close to fantastic trails and offers pristine and fantastically comfortable rooms with great mountain views. The generous and delicious breakfast is to die for - it offers a wide selection of pastries, cakes, seasonal fruit, desserts, juices, breads, meats and local cheeses among others. The rooms are newly renovated with a beautiful mountain-theme design. The bathrooms are modern and super clean and the sleep quality (fantastic mattress and superb noise insolation) is even better than at 5-star hotels. But the biggest highlight is how Roberta, the owner, and her family, staff (and the dog) make you feel: cared for, appreciated, and truly welcome to their little heaven in the Dolomites. We cannot wait to be back! Don't hesitate and book a room for as long as you can. You can reach any Dolomite group...
