Boma Countryhouse — Hotel in Rome

We had a pleasant memory of this place from a stay a couple of years ago. Checking in this time, seemed to be a repeat of the same. Setting, amenities and service all were excellent. Then, something changed that actually ruined the visit.,,,,,, It seems that the owners decided to over-regulate the air conditioning by modifying the controls in the room so that there is no adjustment except on and off. Now our stay was ruined instantly due to the fact that the night we stayed was a warm, humid night. Because there are no screens on the windows, they cannot be opened so that mosquitoes would not come in. It was exasperating to find that the owners decided that the air conditioning should not produce cool air after 1:00 a.m. So, after an uncomfortable night, I write this review recommending that no one should stay at this place unless the owners address the climate control problem. Their idea of saving a little money will cost them dearly, not just because of one negative review, but because others will find the same problem, and will stop using or recommending this establishment. What a shame! Especially because, if you are coming to Rome by car, this was probably be one of the best places to stay for the price and amenities.I hope the owners see this review and take care of the problem. We stayed at this comfortable country house just outside of Rome for 1 night. The place is easy to reach by car, whereas it would probably be more difficult by public transport. There is ample (free) parking space at the country house, even though it can get busy during lunch and dinner hours.||||We had a spacious room on the top (loft) floor, with a small window overlooking the beautiful garden and a large window in the roof, through which you can admire the stars at night. The shower was also spacious and everything was very clean. The heating of the room worked well, although it was a bit hard to control the temperature.||||All of the staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Breakfast was typically Italian and of good quality. The only suggestion for improvement are the fruit juices, for which it would be nice if freshly squeezed juices were available. The cakes...

Cons: garbage laying at the road on the way to the countryhouse. To be fair: That‘s nothing the owners are responsible for, but the city/community. Nevertheless it‘s something what is really annoying. Restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings. The suburb area around is not a place where you will enjoy to spend time.
