Mon Emile — Hotel in Saint-Christophe

This was our 2nd stay. Our first was perfect, absolutely spotless. Our second was full of errors that's why I dont give higest points and write my comment. I really really liked it at first time so i wanted to come back. Unfortunately from check-in things were going wrong. At 18.00 Sunday was nobody there, at the desk. Ok, there is possibility of self-chekin that we could do, no problem but nobody send us link with infomation. We had to call and wait outside for someone to open door for us. After a while when we entered a room, we noticed that bathroom was constructed for disabled people (noticable differences it toilet, sink and shower). I really like that in this hotel they give importance to people with special needs. Chapeau bas. But isn't it better to keep it for people that might need it? Or at least ask if we dont mind... thirdly heating in bathroom didn't work. Of course you are guesing but you are not wrong ... the reception was at that moment still empty.. You cannot even complain to anyone to resolve something for you. Next morning we could finally tell about our problems. Obviously not working heater was the biggest deal. Without notice we arrived at sunset to see if we could change our booking to a day earlier. The gentleman was so helpful, cancelling our original booking and giving us a superb room for the night, recommending a place close by for dinner that was also wonderful. The room itself was spacious, very clean, with a great bathroom with walk in shower. There was also a sauna in the room although we didn't use it. Super sejour d'une semaine. L'hotel de famille a été entièrement rénové avec goût alliant le traditionnel, la modernité et le confort (ascenseur, espaces communs spacieux, la circulation de la salle du petit-déjeuner est bien pensée, salon, terrasses). L'hygiène et la propreté sont irréprochables. Le service est assuré par les membre de la famille. Les propriétaires parlent couramment le français. Ils sont discrets mais de bons conseils et avenants. Le petit-déjeuner est varié (fruits frais, sucre et salé et produits locaux). La chambre matrimoniale standart (le cerf) avec balcon était spacieuse et cocoon. Matériaux de qualité. On a apprécié les tisanes locales, l'eau de source ainsi que le produit de douche bio. Petit bémol mais c'est la situation du lieu de l'établissement qui a ses forces et ses faiblesses, aux heures de pointes et malgré une excellente isolation, on entend un peu le trafic. C'est pourquoi nous notons la chambre à 4,5/5 et les autres prestations à 5/5. Le rapport qualité /prix est excellent. Aussi, le bar de l'hotel est un réel plus pour prendre un apéro toujours local dans une bonne ambiance. Le resto "chez Bionaz" à quelques pas de l'hotel est aussi une petite pépite.
