Il Palagione — Hotel in San Gimignano

Monica and Giorgio are amazing hosts. From the minute you pass the property gate till the moment you depart, they have at heart to take care of you without crowding you. The rooms are large, airy, and well appointed. The grounds are full of flowers and you can see on surrounding hills their vineyards and olive trees (and taste their production too). Breakfast is very tasty and varied with local cured meats and cheeses, homemade cakes, tarts and jams, plus fresh fruit salads, juices, breads and of course a real cappuccino if you are so enclined. The hosts clearly love and know Tuscany, giving tips for daily trips throughout the region and lending helpful marked maps. They speak English and French too. There is even a simple and delicious restaurant on a neighboring farm so you don't need to go far at the end of your busy day. I cannot recommend Il Palagione enough...but hope they will have room for me on...

Amazing 5 nights spent in Il Palagione. First of all, it is a winery lead by passionate winemaker who will tell you everything about his wine and area around. Wine tasting was a great experience. |Every morning during a delicious home made breakfast Giorgio gives you an advice for a day, based on your traveling wishes. |Then it is comfortable stay in an ancient but very well maintained and modernised building. I really enjoyed a mix of modern and rustic style in a big room with great comfortable bathroom, air conditioning, refrigerator and everything needed even for a long stay. Tea, water, juices and some cookies in a room every day. Cleaning is perfect.|Private parking, great restaurants with delicious local food around in 3-5-10 min by car. I had the most wonderful stay at Il Palaggione! From the moment we arrived, everything felt magical. The property is absolutely stunning, surrounded by breathtaking Tuscan landscapes that make you feel like you’re living inside a painting. The rooms were charming, spotless, and full of authentic character, blending comfort with rustic elegance.

The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready with a smile and helpful recommendations. Every little detail was taken care of with so much love, making our stay unforgettable. Waking up to the peaceful countryside views and enjoying a glass of wine at sunset here was pure perfection.

Il Palaggione is not just a place to stay – it’s an experience of Tuscany at its finest. I truly cannot recommend it enough, and I would come back in...
