Hotel Villa Sophia — Hotel in Sanremo

My wife and I toured Italian and French Rivera together with another couple. We checked into Villa Sophia for one night on Sunday, June 21, 2017. We booked two double rooms that were described as large. The rooms were located in the attic of the structure away from the main building. The windows were tiny. It was impossible to fit the chair between the bed and the desk in our room, making the desk useless. The air conditioner did not work and was not fixed during our stay. The elevator stopped working, so we had to carry our luggage downstairs.||||All that, however, was not the most serious problem with the hotel. ||||The keys to our rooms were the "skeleton" type. Each key opened all the other guest room doors in the building. Just imagine being a single female traveler staying here.||Another, and even more serious, transgression was committed by the reception staff. We were asked to leave our passports to be photocopied, unpack in our rooms and return to retrieve the documents later. After about and hour later I returned to the main building reception, found it empty with our passport abandoned on the counter in plain view and reach. It was longer than just a few minutes when the receptionist returned to the station. My complaint about failure to protect our passports was met by her with incredulity that it should be an issue at all. If you wish to risk losing your travel documents and then deal with all the trouble that would be heaped up on you, then by all means stay in this hotel. However, the breakfast...

Purtroppo i preggi che ne ha questo albergo vengono pannati da certe politiche svolte dagli amministratori dall' albergo in modo sbagliato. Io e mio marito ci siamo presse un fregatura: Da segnalare: Le cerrature vanno decisamente cambiate. L'aspetto generale dovrebbe essere rinfrescato visto che dà la idea de posto molto vecchio. Poi Ci sono anche cose non piacevoli da segnalare: Ad esempio Si hanno prezzo il pagamento in anticipo già da quando abbiamo fatto la prenotazione con la carta di credito senza averci avvertito. Poi Al momento di fare la prenotazione non ci hanno detto che la colazione non era compressa nell' prezzo della camera.

Prima per fare la prenotazione trammite booking, Ti chiedono i dati della carta di credito e ci spiegano che è solo per guarantizare questa prenotazione ma che non si prendono i soldi. Una volta confermata questa prenotazione ci inviano una mail con la conferma a riguardo, e dove ci dicono anchecche non si può fare disdetta, e che la colazione non è compressa e che ha un costo di 7 euro.

Quindi che ne va pagata da parte.

Arrivi in albergo a fare la dovuta registrazione; ti danno la chiave ; ma pure la ricevuta col conto totale per il numero di giorni prenotati I soldi già presso da loro, dalla nostra carta di credito. loro si prendono in anticipo il valore totale della camera senza dircilo prima. Non solo ci ingannano quando ci dicono che LORO chiedono i dati della carta di credito solo per poter garantire la prenotazione, se no che si prendono anche i soldi del pagamento totale per concetto della camera, tutto in anticipio. Poi... COME SE NON BASTASSE ti fanno pagare per una colazione che non è ne abbonddante ne buona come scrivono loro sull'annuncio* Se no chè proprio scadente ed scarsa, (Poca qualità e poca varietà), Mentre in qualsiasi posto turistico in tutta Italia, una colazione buona, fresca, e dignitosa ti la servono, COMPRESSA nell prezzo (Ed è cosi nell' resto del mondo) INVECE Qua in questo albergo Villa Sophia, devi pagare pure per una colazione decisamente di qualità scarsa / cattivissima Di aspetto Non fresco Ed è servita quasi come se ti facessero un favore. I cornetti duri e secchi, proprio cattivissimi, zucchi di frutta non freschi. Anzi, tiepidi e disgustosi. Delle uova strapazzate malefatte; secche, fredde, dure, e che non sapevano di nulla. Würstel di sapore stranno, e di malaspetto, cattivissima qualità. Il pane poco, e cattivo. Prosciutto cotto non fresco e di bassa qualità. Tutto servito e disposto in sala, in modo poco sfizioso. Facendo intravedere poca voglia di piacere agli ospiti. I camerieri in atteggiamento di metterne fretta agli ospiti che mangiano pure vengono trattati in modo poco cortese. A parte di che Non è vero che quella colazione ne valga la pena! Devo dire però che Ci sono di certo delle cose positive : Si deve dire anche che Le camere sono belle pulite. Personale è gentile e disponibile

(L' atteggiamento diverso a quello dei camarieri maleducati del restaurant) Il parcheggio è conveniente. Ottima posizione comoda, vicinissima al mare. Ciòè... Controllando questi dettagli negativi potrebbe diventare un posto...

When you take the exit off the main road and turn the corner into the hotel courtyard, the tranquility immediately hits you. The former monastery offers spacious clean rooms with good quality large beds. It is very quiet at night. Some of the bathroom equipment like the shower cabin was in need of an upgrade and showering in the morning was sometimes a bit of a challenge as other people were using warm or cold water resulting in a hot or cold surprise. Breakfast in the previous chapel is extensive for Italian standards with lots of choices and with many products freshly prepared. For dining in the evening, Carlo, the maitre’d, runs a tight ship. Nice pure local dishes served in a quick tempo (you select from the menu the night before). Wide selection of home made desserts and an adequate list of local wines to choose from at fair prices.
