Kasatò B&B — Hotel in Siculiana

I could have not felt more comfortable with this B and B, especially as a woman traveling alone. The accomodations were charming with very ecletic decorating. I felt very safe here. The church Santuario Del SS Crocif.isso is very impressive. There is a crucifix with the black Christ in the church. Every May there is a festival where the Crucifix is carried through the street. I will come back to participate one year. I have done a lot of traveling and I have never met people as nice as the Sicilians. One woman, Isabella a friend of the host aided me in my quest for my search for my ancesctors. The topography here is unbelievable and I loved the cobbled narrow streets and buildings. We loved BnB Kasato. Fun decoration - we kept finding more funky things, like bits of mosaic, lava lamps, a Fiat fridge, a chair covered with fake zebra skin!||But Salvatore's hospitality is the best thing. We needed to get sand hoovered out of our car to avoid an extra hire car charge. He rang around to find a place that would do this for us, had us follow him to the address, then drove us back an hour later to pick up the cleaned car. So kind of him - I'm sure there were more fun ways to spend a Saturday morning!||I also loved all the nice big bottles of shampoo and shower gel - flying now makes it hard to bring any and I'd gotten tried of opening slippy little plastic packages in the shower to finish washing in other b n bs. Durch Zufall sind wir auf dieses Dorf und das gemütliche B&B direkt am Kirchplatz gestossen. Einen glücklichen Zufall, wie wir schon bald feststellten. Denn was Besitzer Toto mit seinen Freunden hier auf die Beine stellt ist sizilianische Gastfreundschaft pur. Neben den B&B-Gästen treffen sich in Totos Küche auch Freunde und Verwandte und es wird die halbe Nacht debattiert.
