We paid 40 euro and have not received breakfast and even fridge was by 10 euro per day for use. And we could not use kitchen - so in the morning we was hungry :) My husband and I didn't like the owner of this house. He was not very welcoming, friendly or warm. He spoke a memorized text and pressed a smile, and there was a feeling that we were here only for his earnings.
When we booked BOOKING COM the room, the booking had clearly stated information about breakfast included. And only after we booked the room and paid, I received an SMS from the owner something about breakfast - but not clearly. Thats why I wrote a question to clarify whether breakfast is included - but I did not receive an answer until the moment we arrived at the place.
But we were also forbidden to use the kitchen and for using the fridge we had to pay 10 euros per day. So We were without breakfast for 2 days and did not buy food because I think it is insolence to charge 10 euros per day for using the fridge.
The walls in this house are also very thin and you could hear the owner and his wife talking and laughing late night. But when i asked them not to make noise anymore After the remark we was in silent. But audibility in this house is strong. U can even hear sound of water in another room.
And what i liked. We had air conditioning, towels, soap and cleanliness in the room. I liked that the owner had a pre-prepared map with a recommendation for restaurants and parking in Siena. Also Liked the view of the Tuscany landscape. We liked garden and tables with chairs outside but we did not use it because we did not have access to the kitchen or fridge to prepare...
Read moreThe high rating is not for luxury, but is for value for money. This is definitely a budget B &B but the quality is very high. It is on the outskirts of beautiful Siena. A little bus runs efficiently to and from the center every 15 minutes. Rooms are in a separate section of the family's home, and the place is very professionally run. Our room had a nice balcony looking over countryside and was cozy with everything we needed. Decor was tasteful and bed was very comfortable with very nice linens. Towels were nice too! Parking was right in front and free. Wifi was free and worked perfectly. The owner is extremely patient, friendly and helpful. The actual driveway is a private dirt road (not long, though). It was a 5-minute walk uphill to the bus stop which had us just behind the Campo in about 10 minutes. A very nice...
