Guest House Residence — Hotel in Somma Lombardo

We stayed 4 nights while in 'transit' from Russia to Switzerland waiting for our family to arrive at MXP before going onto Switzerland. It is very convenient to the airport and for visiting/touring the Italian Lakes in that area as well as Milan.||The directions to get from the Terminal 1 to 2 shuttle were vague so I hope this will help ....get off at the Case Nuove stop which is clearly indicated in the bus. Walk a few metres towards Terminal One and turn right. Go to the end of that road and turn left. Guest House Residence is then on your left.||The accommodation is spacious, well equipped and comfortable and suited us very well. This was perfect for us. We stayed 3 nights before moving to another hotel near Lake Maggiore. I selected the place for it's location to explore Milan and surrounding areas. It turned out to be a very good choice. Although the location is in a small village near MXP, we hardly noticed any noise from the airport, even while keeping the door and windows open. The place was clean, well kept and spacious. We had a corner room and had a huge veranda with a panoramic view of the alps on one side. We got in to the apartment as early check in, the room key is pre-prepared since we reach there are 7:00am, the room is nice and new. Unfortunately there is no soap and shampoo only liquid soap which we used to clean ourselves and the dishes. There also no coffee/tea provided, we have to buy our own at grocery shop. The heater also cannot be adjusted, it ok and not ok on the other nite. The facilities are ok, you can wash, dry and do yr own ironing. Anyway, we really enjoy the...
