Podere Campalfi — Hotel in Sovicille

I’ve been to Campalfi more than 10 times in the last 12 years though-out all different seasons and have never been disappointed. This resort is a wonderful opportunity for a romantic getaway, a family get-together, or a fun time away with friends. I would recommend this resort for groups of all ages and here's why:

Accommodation Campalfi is not just a secluded area with a lot of beauty (which it very much is), but also a calming social environment. There are a number of different-sized apartments to suit couples, families, and social groups alike. These are neatly furnished, comfortable, appropriately cooled during the summer, and well-heated during the winter.

Hospitality The hosts are very accommodating and welcoming with amazing cooking talent. Each meal is delicious and the pasta is honestly second to none. Guests are provided with a stunning 3-course meal 3-nights per week, providing opportunity for guests to explore some of the nearby restaurants (and trust me you really should).

Activities There is a common room equipped with board games and a table tennis table. The resort also boasts a football pitch (great for larger parties), a trampoline, and even a badminton court.

If you walk for one minute across a field from the resort you’ll find a beautiful river where you can either rest and relax or jump in and have fun with friends; there’s even a rope for this. The best part about the river is that it has no curfew, you can go for a swim as early or late as you like with no risk of disturbing other guests. From here, you can even venture out into the forest and find an old abandoned castle to explore. Honestly, so many beautiful areas (and a fantastic well-priced restaurant) are easily walkable from the resort.

If you do happen to have a car, you should know that Campalfi is perfectly situated in a beautiful area of Tuscany and not far from Siena. Throughout my visits, I’ve had so much fun going to beaches, hot springs, water-parks, fishing, Go-karting, torture museums, and a list that doesn’t end. If you go to any restaurant you will have the best pizza you’ve ever had for such a cheap price, (4 euros for a marinara pizza in many restaurants). Other delicious Italian delicacies are also available at a fair price.

If you go as far out as San Gimignano, you’ll find the best ice-cream parlour in the world. However, if that’s too far for you, the ice-creams everywhere else are just as good.

Alongside the beauty, Tuscany is full of culture and history. So much can be learned from visiting the attractive towns and cities of this region.
