This was probably our favourite hotel on our Italian road trip. The service levels are incredible. Before arriving I’d been corresponding with Christina to organise a truffle hunting experience for my husband’s birthday and the communication was brilliant. I received regular updates and I instantly knew the service levels would be high and I wasn’t disappointed. Christina warmly welcomed us, along with Mallory the gorgeous Labrador and we instantly felt relaxed at this peaceful hotel.||We arrived early and our room wasn’t quite ready. Christina was so apologetic but had no need to be as we were early. We received a welcome drink on the terrace and enjoyed the beautiful views. The hotel has a nice lounge area where we enjoyed watching the Euros (along with the lovely Swiss!), a little library, a big selection of wine, an indoor restaurant, a semi-indoor restaurant (retractable roof) and an outdoor terrace. We also saw them set up a private table nearby in the garden area for a birthday and it was beautiful. The gardens are very pretty and they have an outdoor gym and table tennis table plus an area just above the pool with a massage area, sauna and jacuzzi (extra charge). We would have probably booked this area (private use) had it not been so hot!||The pool is a great size and a lovely temperature. It was hitting the mid to late 30s when we visited in early July and so it was heaven getting in. There were quite a few bees around the edge which I didn’t mind as I love the bees but for some people it may be an issue. There are plenty of loungers and you can WhatsApp the team for drinks. We did this one day and after about 40 minutes they hadn’t arrived and the staff were so apologetic. The team also comes around with a little snack in the afternoon which is nice.||Our room was a great size and well finished, peaceful and with a lovely view. We stayed in room 8 which is just a few steps up from the pool and we had a private garden area out the front with two large chairs and a table. Someone else was using it at some points and so clearly hadn’t listened to where their private space was. I mentioned this to the hotel on check out as although it didn’t make a difference to our use of the space as we never clashed, it perhaps needs to be made clearer like the room downstairs. There is a fridge, a free safe and a hairdryer. We had some home-made cantucci in our room from the chef which was a lovely touch. ||The toiletries here were perfect – the first time on our trip we had separate shampoo and body wash and the room had conditioner, hand soap and body lotion. Also, the first time we had sustainable packaging – large pumps, not small plastic disposables, not a bar of soap, and Italian-made products. There was also a glass bottle of water which was replenished every day and glasses – no plastic. ||The restaurant was superb. We are both vegetarian and we did not go hungry. We enjoyed the tasting menu on our first night, the main menu on another night and then we visited local villages on our remaining nights. The service and food were of a very high standard and we felt very lucky this was on our doorstep. Breakfast was excellent and our favourite on the tour we did; the Nutella croissants are incredible! ||Stigliano is a very quiet village with one little bar/restaurant and a couple of places to stay so you really need a car. The hotel is a little gem and I would absolutely return here! Parking is free (when you arrive, head down to the left of reception – yes, it’s narrow but there is lots of parking and electric charging points) and it’s just 20 minutes from Siena. They help organise many local tours and experiences and our truffle hunting tour was great value. We did a private tour with two guides and our expert truffle hunting dog, a three course truffle themed lunch and wine tasting (inc. a 195 Euro bottle of wine) for 200 Euros per person. Comparing this to other experiences, this was really good value.||We want to say a big thank you to the team here which made our stay just perfect. We slept so well, felt so relaxed whilst here and everything has just been thought about from a guest perspective. I love the sustainable measures that have been implemented, the family feel and the style of the property. It really is a perfect...

Our family was meeting for a beautiful family celebration. It was our anniversary. We invited our two sons and daughter-in-laws to join us. Our family lives in three different countries, USA, Brazil and Grand Cayman. Therefore, our time is precious together! Relias Le Macine Di Stigliaano delivered more than we dreampt. Staff/Service: The staff was welcoming and inviting. They are caring, supportive, professional, friendly, accommodating and talented. I can’t single out one person, because every single person wanted to ensure our every need was being met. |Rooms: The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. The entire hotel was immaculate. |Food: The quality of the food was delicious. There were separate dining areas which was nice. Breakfast was served in a bistro style space. Lunch and dinner was served on the beautiful outdoor patio which overlooks the elegant and colorful gardening of the property. The chef’s menu and preparation was amazing. He was very accommodating even though his food was perfection. Great wine selection and drinks. |Property: The property was very well designed in order for beauty to be seen in every direction. It didn’t matter where you were walking, sitting or looking out a door or window you saw nature’s best! From the rolling hills to the scenic countryside it was relaxing. |Amenities: Wow! The wellness center is located privately so relaxation can be fully enjoyed. We scheduled massages and it was just what we needed. We also participated in a competitive archery event. Everyone had a blast. We had several moments by the pool. Stunning! We placed drink orders from the app and our drinks were delivered. |Extraordinary Service: We had a medical issue which required a physician. Margarita, one of the owners, not only found a physician but also gave a personal escort to their office. |Oh, I can’t forget, Mallory. Mallory is our pet away from home. She was loving, perfectly mannered, and friendly. What a wonderful surprise. ||I would rate this rare boutique hotel a 10 out of five if possible. We loved our stay and hope to visit again...

My wife and I recently spent two blissful weeks of our honeymoon at Relais Le Macine Di Stigliano, and it was nothing short of a dream come true. From the moment we arrived, the picturesque surroundings promised us an unforgettable experience, and they did not disappoint.

From the moment we checked in, we were embraced by warm, thoughtful hospitality that left no stone unturned in ensuring our comfort and happiness. The staff made us feel more than guests; we felt like cherished members of their extended family, attending to our every need with remarkable courtesy and kindness.

The accommodations at Relais Le Macine Di Stigliano are elegant, tastefully appointed, and very comfortable. Our room was spacious and well-kept, offering a delightful blend of the traditional charm of Tuscany and modern amenities. The pool was very welcoming and you never had the feeling that there wasn’t enough space.

The hotel's cuisine was another highlight of our stay. Every meal was a symphony of local flavors and fresh, high-quality ingredients that thrilled our taste buds. The passion of the culinary team was evident in every bite, a testament to their dedication to their craft.

Beyond the amenities and service, what we will remember most fondly about our stay at Relais Le Macine Di Stigliano is the genuine warmth and friendliness of the staff. They went out of their way to celebrate our special time, contributing to a honeymoon that we will cherish forever.

We highly recommend Relais Le Macine Di Stigliano to anyone seeking a magical, restorative, and utterly unforgettable experience in Tuscany. It is not just a hotel but a sanctuary of peace and joy. We look forward to returning in the future, reliving and creating new memories in this enchanting corner...

We spent six nights at Relais Le Macine and were absolutely delighted with this boutique hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and given plenty of helpful information about the area. The hotel is beautifully located, away from the hustle and bustle — perfect for us, as we wanted to explore Tuscany by car. Our room was bright and comfortable, with a cozy bed, a well-equipped bathroom featuring quality toiletries, and two wardrobes for our clothes. We also appreciated the lovely gesture of a complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival. The service was always exceptionally friendly and attentive. The entire team went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Both the room and the property were spotlessly clean. The pool area is small but charming — in October the water was already a bit too cold for swimming, but it’s a lovely spot to relax. Breakfast was beautifully presented, varied, and delicious — and the cappuccino was excellent. We also dined twice at the hotel’s restaurant and were very impressed by the quality of the food on both occasions. Overall, we loved Relais Le Macine for its style, peaceful setting, and touch of luxury. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for relaxation, nature, and a refined atmosphere. Just keep in mind that a car is essential.

It's really difficult to write a good review for this hotel. It's a very charming place, the staff is super friendly and welcoming, but we did not have a great experience. I guess we were unlucky. The rooms are beautiful and so is the property. BUT!!! No heat in the room and it was between 6 and 12 degrees at night!! So basically, you get under the blanket and stay there or you're freezing. We asked the reception but they say the heat system (or whatever it's called) only turns on in November!!! I sure hope it's not the same for the AC in Summer!!! So what should have been a nice stay in a beautiful place turns out to be not so nice. Another negative point: if you want to enjoy the (hot!) jacuzzi it will cost you 60 euros. The pool is not heated. Parking is free and they are truly dog friendly. If, like us, you're foodies, the hotel doesn't provide typical Tuscan food but there is a restaurant, 2 mins away on foot that does (and is pretty good). After 11PM no one at the reception. We were not offered any kind of discount on our bill for freezing during the three nights we stayed there (and the bill was quite expensive considering). Overall, if it looks like a 4 stars hotel, it felt like a 3 stars hotel which is, in my opinion, a waste of such a beautiful place.
