Without a doubt in my two trips to Italy my weekend stay with the Barbon family has been the highlight of my European travels. Hotel liberty is a family run hotel perfectly located close to Treviso and Venezia. It's charm, boutique feel, Italian hospitality and amazing location made it the perfect place for my friend and I to explore the region of Treviso and what it has to offer. We were treated to the best food, wine and hospitality, whilst exploring the region of Treviso and were lucky enough to be taken to places we would otherwise not have been able to find on our own. When it came time to leave after our three night stay we were very sad to go. The Barbon family were excellent hosts and have an amazing, beautiful, charming and authentic Italian property. They are incredibly warm and welcoming and make all guests feel like a part of their family. We loved it and would recommend the property to anyone travelling northern Italy, especially for those travellers wanting to avoid the hustle of Venice and prices that accompany it. Locating yourself at Hotel Liberty allows for more exploration into the amazing wine region, villages and culture in the surrounding areas, as well as enable you to take a short train ride into the heart of Venice. It was an amazing experience and I can't...
Read moreThe highlight of my summer holiday, I just enjoyed a truly magical 10-day experience at Hotel Liberty. As a boutique family-run business, the Barbons provide a uniquely exceptional experience for their guests: when you're here, you feel as though you're a part of their family. I especially enjoyed how they have preserved the 10th century feel of the hotel while managing to combine it with all our modern-day comforts. Aside from my frequent day trips to Jesolo beach and beautiful Venice (only a half hour by train), activities during my stay ranged from enjoying a wine festival set in a nearby medieval castle, to cooling off during a warm summer day with a swim in the historic Piave River. We also visited numerous wineries in the region as the hotel is located in the heart of Prosecco. As a respite from the numerous tourists and high prices of Venice, I can undoubtedly give Hotel Liberty my full recommendation as an ideal way to enjoy authentic Italian culture, and, perhaps most importantly, to experience firsthand how the locals have truly embraced the finer things in life. Oh, and be sure to try hotel's coffee! Best morning cappuccino and post-lunch espresso I've...
Read moreI was doing a alpine cross, and as I arrived, soaked in sweat, I was warmly welcomed and offered drinks and snacks for free. The hotel is an old, renovated country house, surrounded by a big garden. Unfortunately, a rather noisy road is in close vicinity, hence you might want to ask for a room on the opposite side to the street. The rooms are arranged with stylish old furniture, each with an own bathroom. My room was clean and tidy. There are TVs in every room and the Wi-Fi connection is very good. For dinner the owner offers to call a pizza service, which I gladly used as my feet were hurting from my trip and I did not want to go any further to Spresiano city. The breakfast fulfills the typical standard: You'll get bread, pastry, muesli, marmalade, honey, coffee and multi vitamin juice. My highlight was a spontaneous invitation to join a family party with Prosecco, fresh fruits and nice conversations. Thank you for this nice evening,...
