Since we discovered last year this lovely town in the south of Tuscany, we decided this year to return and what a time we had in this great albergo.||First, there is the famous restaurant and the genuine quality of the dishes - to die for, especially the pappardely al ragout - try it! Not to diminish the other dishes, but this was our favorite.||Secondly the lovely helpful owners and their staff - great, authentic people.||Thirdly the rooms: clean, large, quite (take a room at the back side of the hotel), with airco and with all amenities. ||Finally, the town: quite, without a bunch of tourists, screaming people. etc||Take the time to snip an espresso or a glass of local wine at the Bar Central, don't forget the gelatti -!!! - gorgeous. Have a look at the vintage jewelry shop, the traditional butcher and grocery shop. The rooms were beautiful and luxurious, so so comfortable and they both had balconies with brilliant views. The bathroom was large and the shower was easy to use and put out plenty of water. The staff were very pleasant, and there is a lift to help you get your bags upstairs if you have heavy bags (like we did!). Also has good fast wi-fi. We ate at the restaurant based on other people’s advice in internet reviews and were VERY glad that we did. It was probably one of the best meals we had in Italy. To give you an idea, the restaurant was fully booked but we were the only people who were also staying at the hotel! It’s a major drawcard. I can’ speak highly enough of this place, I hope to go back another time and spend longer here (than the 1 night we stayed) to further explore the area and sample more off their delicious...
