This hotel is wonderful - mostly because of the service. Rooms and common areas are extremely clean. But the real surprise is in the kitchen, which can only be described as gastronomique. Mauro, the owner, insists on making most of the elements making up the breakfast and dinner himself. All cakes (six or seven), bread (including a marvellous Austrian bread made with three kinds of flour), marmalades are home-made. For deserts they have - obviously home-made - deserts made with home-made orange liquor (from oranges obtained from Casino). Wonderful. The overall level of service is astonishing (phone calls to Thermal baths on your behalf, etc). 5 minutes from the Chianciano Thermal Baths and a very attactive Etruscan Museum, and 12-13 minutes from Montepulciano's Thermal baths and interesting hill-top city..||||Bernadette and...

We had a family room; it wasn't huge, but had more than enough room for all of us. The shower was a little small, but we were able to make due. Read moreMy friends and I took a cooking class and meal here. We all had a great time. The wine flowed as we made pasta and learned to roast meat. Our chef spoke little English so we turned up the iPad music and sang and danced around the kitchen. After our lesson was over we ate in the attached restaurant. The food we helped prepare was served to the diners. We had so much fun and our night ended with a roller skating demo from our chef cum waiter....
