The worst so far and I travelled enough in my life!!! I think it is important for everyone to know that booking.basic allows Hotel King to place you in their Motel rooms in the back. You see something, book something, pay something...and get what they want which is something totally different. Like we got a room which was packed with an ashtray and smelling terrible like cigarette smoke regardless if everywhere is written that smoking is prohibited. Staff speaks poor english or not at all! Breakfast...very poor and every morning the staff there was wiping the floor while we were eating. I don't need to explain further what that means! I needed an iron...asked for one 2 days in a row and it was already booked but I was adviced to call next day at 7 and I did. I was told I will get it in my room. Half an hour later when I called I was told it is forbidden to iron in my room. A joke!!! But after complaining "an exception" was made. Top of the cherry, we could not even get an invoice(as this was a business trip) due to the same issue: booking basic. So my best adivice is be carefull what you book! Our 1400km trip to Italy was a disaster thanks...
Read moreOne of the worst Hotel experiences I've ever had. Stayed in room 201 which I was told was their nicest rooms, which it was... Got back to room at 1230am and put on AC because it was 26°C and it actually started getting hotter in room, tried several times to contact front desk but there was never any answer so I had to go downstairs where I clearly heard someone watching tv in a back room, the night manager said there was nothing he can do and suggested i turn it on and off. At around 2am the window shutters closed without anyone touching the controls then all the power went off in our room. Once again I tried calling the front desk to no avail so I had to go downstairs again only to "bother" night manager during his tv time. Was told once again there was nothing he can do.... Had to try falling asleep without tv or had any lights on a 26° night with the windows opened. One of the worst and most frustrated nights I've ever spent in a hotel. I definitely do not...
Read moreIf it was not for Renzo, I would have not survive this experience. The hotel is DIGITAL, no reception. Well .... first we could not check in digitally, did not work through phone call or by activating the email. We fou d out they are trying a new digital system. Then the gate to street was closed, the cars could not get in and out. Lastly, the bathroom door lock broke and my kid was locked in the bathroom. Thank God for Renzo that helped at the risk of losing his job because he was not supposed to, being digital and all .... The hotel is NOT bad. The TAXIs will NOT pick up probably being too far out of ZLT area. Mr. Manager, please put a PERSON at front desk because the INTERNET and DIGITAL gimmicks don't always work as we ALL KNOW. As an idea, great but in practice ... not yet. Again, many THANKS to the staff on site that was NOT supposed to be there but...
