My wife and I chose Club Med Kiroro Peak for our honeymoon trip and the experience was beyond amazing!
We were blown away by the hospitality shown to us from everyone at Club Med Kiroro Peak including all the G.Os and G.Es.
Everything operates so smoothly right from the moment we touched down at New Chitose Airport. Getting to the Club Med Counter, confirmation on next transfer to the resort and we are on our way to the feeling excited. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the G.Os and get together for a quick briefing on Ski Passes, schedules etc
We stayed for 6 nights and everyday passes so quickly when you are enjoying yourself.
Ski experience: First time Skiing and the experience is great! Equipment rental is straightforward, signing up for classes is simple and you just need to prepare yourself for Ski lessons the next day.
We have got the opportunity to learn from the experienced Ski Instructors. Thank you so much Kiyoshi, Toru, Yileen, Anna and Rachel. The 4 days of Ski are rewarding and we can't wait to ski again. Powder snow FTW!
Food and Drinks: There are 2 "restaurants" (Western and Asian) to choose from for Lunch and Dinner. Breakfast is only at Western section. We enjoyed all the selections every meal, I always looked forward to each meal time and get excited to what kind of food that we get to eat. You will definitely not go hungry during your time in Club Med. They even serve small bites and refreshments during tea break times.
You can feel that the food were made with love and all the Turkish chefs were super talented, It's not easy to serve so many customers during meal times but they managed to do everything with a smile always.
Thank you Winter and your team for being there with us during each meal time, ensuring that we get to enjoy our meals without fail.
The bar's selection are also amazing, all you can drink starting from 10am!! Besides the wide selection of alcohols, you can also order coffee or tea, mocktails, hot chocolate and my personal favourites are all the milkshakes. I would order a milkshake everyday without fail, you can choose from normal milk or other alternatives like soy milk, almond milk. You'll be greeted by Tong, Ella, Alice and a few others at the bar, thanks for making all the delicious drinks!
Events and Activities: Things are never boring at Club Med Kiroro Peak! Every night, you get to enjoy music, dancing and special shows that were performed by the talented G.Os. You can tell that the G.Os tried their best, despite doing their day to day job, they still put on a performance for the guests every night. Thanks Gabrie, Rovin and many other G.Os for all the high energy that you bring to the guests every night without fail. It's also heartwarming to see guests participating enthusiastically, it goes to show that they really are enjoying the experience.
We signed up for Snow Trekking session in the morning and greatly enjoyed the experience with Milk as our guide. Milk brought us around the compound and showed us the beautiful and peaceful Kiroro Peak mountains. We saw many animal tracks, played in the snow, took amazing photos. Really really glad that we decided to go for the snow trekking experience. Thanks Milk!
Hospitable Friends: This is our first Club Med experience and it's a really unique and special experience. It felt like we have made many new friends, met many new people, share experiences and cultures with one another. This is something that we have not experienced at all during our travels so far. The team heard that it's our Honeymoon trip and they were so thoughtful! They decorated our room with handmade art and craft. It's a very very nice gesture of the team and we greatly appreciate it!
Thank you so much Rosie, Annie, Pang, Yupa, Intho, Noor and many others for your time with us, really enjoyed your company, all the laughs and chats that we've had.
Last but not least, thank you Hailey for always being so positive, high energy and looking after us without fail. You have built a great team at Club Med Kiroro...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at Club Med Kiroro Peak with a group of friends to celebrate group birthdays, and I must say it was an experience of a lifetime. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the hospitality and service provided by the staff, or GO's. They made us feel welcome and comfortable from the get-go. Anna, their reception manager, dealt with all of our group coming from different countries at different times very well.
The resort is ski in-ski out, which is only the beginning of how good the snowboarding experience was - from fresh powder to multiple off piste options, especially through the trees. A big thank you to Alan, in charge of Ski Service, for getting all of our boards and skis ship-shape last minute, in time for first lifts!
The mountain is not big, but it is definitely off-set by the sheer amount of snow that it gets, making the powder hounds in our group laugh like 40+ year old kids!
Also snow-related, a quick shout-out to Jeon, in charge of the Kiroro Peak mountain who was able to personally show us around the slopes on his day off - Kamsamida!
The views from the main area of the snow-capped mountain is simply breathtaking. Connected to the main area is the bar - a place our group frequented often due to the welcoming bar GO's. Captained by their bar manager Elsa, the GO bar team ensured all of our weird cocktail tastes were met.
Speaking of taste, the food was exceptional - from the chef-manned snack bar in the main area, to the 2 separate dining areas, one Asian-inspired and the other western. All eating options made us think we were eating in a 5-star restaurant everyday, thanks to Ernest the Restaurant Manager.
The activities organized by the resort were always geared towards including its guests, from the impromptu Karaoke evening (thank you Rovin!!) to the Taiko drummers encouraging everyone to participate, there was never a dull moment during our holiday.
The rooms were super spacious (especially considering this is Japan) and well-equipped with all the amenities one could ask for, even an ironing board and iron!! I especially loved the massive bed and pillows!
But what really stood out to me was the exceptional service provided by the Club Med staff. As you can see from my review, I managed to remember all of the GO's names (but it does help when they are wearing name badges lol). From the reception to the housekeeping, the GO's and GEs all went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. All of this I think is due to their big boss, the hotel manager Merlin. She really did lead by example. She was always one of the last to leave at night and yet was always greeting us at breakfast. To have her steer the ship definitely would be inspiring if I was working for her.
We enjoyed our stay so much, we ended up staying another night - a testament to the truly wonderful experience we all had.
That's not to say everything was perfect - some of our group had transport transfer issues getting to the resort - but how the Kiroro Peak team managed the issue I think even more impressed our group - Merlin even made it to our early morning departure to ensure we got away okay.
Overall, I would highly recommend Club Med Kiroro Peak to anyone looking for a luxury snow mountain winter resort experience. The service, facilities, and activities provided by the resort are truly exceptional, and I cannot wait to return for another visit. Five...
Read moreThis is by far our best snow holiday experience! 6 days & 5 nights felt too fast, as we really had a fantastic time.
We included the bus transfers in our booking - and we met their Ski Director, Yutaro, while we were on the bus going to the resort. He was such a nice guy- he helped my father to walk & get down the bus once we arrived at the resort. Yutaro also joined us for dinner & shared a bit of his ski journey with us.
Marina is the one who welcomed us upon our arrival. She is friendly & she showed to us the facilities, and also brought us to the ski shop to try our ski shoes & helmets. She was very welcoming & every time we see each other in the resort, she made sure to greet us & asked us how we were.
There’s also one Japanese guy (we forgot his name) who was really nice, helping us with our ski shoes & helmet fitting. He also helped us with our ski trekking shoes & he made sure we were comfortable.
On our first night, we met this Malaysian guy- his name is Eddy. He gave us the best food service & he is very helpful to my family. He also offered to serve some drinks & food to my dad, so he can just sit down & enjoy his food.
There is another Malaysian guy, Tong, he is the bartender & he also helped in the restaurant during peak hours. And whenever guests need another a helping hand, he’d be there. He also helped us to wear our ski shoes & talked to the ski instructor for our private lesson.
We also met Haily, she is the GM of the resort. She would check all guests if they are comfortable, and if everything was good. We’ve been to other Club Meds before, but she is the most involved & present at all times. She’s also life of the party- she made the evening shows & entertainments lively & enjoyable - yet being so respectful to everyone.
We enjoyed our ski trekking; thanks to Milk & Eloise. They told us there are some wild animals in the mountains that we may see, like fox & deers. They showed us their foot prints. Milk also took nice photos of me & my wife during the trekking.
There’s also this guy, his name is Eddie- he is such a good dancer & very welcoming to guests.
I believe this is why Club Med is special. Everyone there is friendly, charming, and they always made sure all guests are having a good time & having the best experience while they are in the resort - it’s like you’ll feel at home while being away from your home. There are so many activities you can do & they put so much effort to their evening shows - which is very entertaining & funny. It’s captivating to say the least.
You don’t need to worry about the language barrier, as everyone can speak fluent English. They also have employees who speak other native languages, such as Mandarin & Japanese. Their staff are diverse, with different nationalities. Diversity is truly their strength.
The food & drinks are all chef’s kiss. They serve both Asian & Western & there were many varieties. Even their snacks are delicious. They also had this mini BBQ party where people ski, so you can have some snacks while skiing / snowboarding. Their service is top-notch. Club Med Kiroro Peak set the standard so high & you’ll look forward to more holidays...
