Fairfield by Marriott Hyogo Awaji Higashiura — Hotel in Awaji

Respectful, Proper and Warm Hospitalify, modern Japandi beach house are words that I would describe this hotel. The well design lobby and good sized ocean view bedroom catches our heart and mind!

The front desk staff, Mr Ikeda, checked us in and remember us throughout the stay. Ms Kawashima assisted us with taxi bookings at odd hours to fetch us back to hotel. (We appreciate the assistance!) All staffs works hand in hand and always with a smile.

The lobby has great shared facilities - latte making machine, commerical microwave and toaster, available baking paper and aluminium foil. The laundry and dryer machines are available 24 hours at very affordable rates.

The hotel has great access to affordable supermarket and pharmacy - walking distances from hotel.

The bed beddings were very comfortable and I'm sourcing out to purchase them for our own home. The shower and bidet makes us feel like home.

What we miss most is a breakfast place (which we understand that a Fairfield hotel chain doesn't have one). We had our own in-room breakfast every morning!

I particularly appreciated the use of blue colors in the carpet and wall accents, which added a nice touch to the decor. Location One major downside is the hotel's location. This is our first trip to Awaji Island and we are glad that we stayed at this hotel. ||It has a shared pantry space at the lobby where you can make coffee/tea, even use the microwave or oven to heat up your food. ||The room we stayed faces the ocean and we had such lovely sunrise view from the comfort of our room. ||There are coin washers and dryers (2 sets) which are helpful for our trip. ||The hotel also offer free parking so it’s good for people who travel by car. We went to 2 recommended local restaurants to have dinner and we thoroughly enjoyed the food.
