焼肉 力 — Restaurant in Awaji

We were were recommended to this amazing local yakiniku place by the hotel we stayed at and enjoyed our dinner there very much after our exhausting trip there. Obviously we didn’t know it was this crowded (that’s the sign it’s legit) and didn’t have our reservations. But the worker was nice enough to squeeze us in. We have been to many yakiniku places in the area we live but this one definitely is the one that we would come back!

This was a great yakiniku place. The lunch sets are very reasonably priced, the portion sizes were very good, and the atmosphere and service were great! They had good homemade pickles, too! 일단 아와지시마에서 호텔 안에 있는 레스토랑을 제외하고 밤 8시 이후 영업을 하고 있는 음식점을 찾기가 쉽지 않기 때문에 늦게까지 영업을 한다는 점 만으로 선택했던 레스토랑. 한국 음식점이라고는 하지만 도쿄나 다른 도심에 있는 스타일의 한국 음식점과는 좀 다르다. 삼겹살이나 닭갈비 같은 최근 유행하는 한국 음식은 아니고 전형적인 한국식 야끼니꾸를 먹을 수 있는 곳이다. 그래서 고기는 주로 호르몬이 메인이라 호르몬을 잘 못 먹는 사람이라면 (나처럼) 메뉴가 조금 적다고 느낄 수도 있다. 하지만 먹을 수 있는 하라미를 많이 먹고 사이드 메뉴로 비빔밥과 냉면을 배부르게 먹을 수 있었다. (술도 한국 술인 참이슬 등은 없고 일본 소주가 메인이다. 근데 아와지초의 세븐일레븐에는 참이슬이 있다!) 일본의 연휴 중이라 동네 가족들이나 회사 동기들 모임이 많았고 여행객은 우리랑 다른 한 테이블 정도였던 것 같다. 왁자지껄한 아와지시마 현지 사람들의 분위기를 느끼며 밥을 먹을 수 있었다. 스태프들은 어린 아르바이트 생들이었는데 바쁜 와중에도 다들...
