I was looking for a hidden gem for myself and my girlfriend, and I found this one on Google Maps. Its name, which means “romantic” in English, caught my attention. I had a chance to go to Japan and check out this hotel.
It turned out to be surprisingly great! First, the location isn’t far or hard to reach if you’re driving; it takes about 2.5 hours from Tokyo Haneda Airport. There are tons of things to do nearby, such as a zoo, parks, and beautiful nature views.
Second, the food is excellent. They offer different plans at various price ranges; I chose the buffet option, which includes a variety of Western and Japanese dishes.
Third, the onsen is fantastic. They have one indoor public bath and two outdoor onsens. In one of the outdoor baths, you can listen to the sound of the river while relaxing in the onsen. I highly recommend this!
Lastly, they provide plenty of activities that you can join for free.

Bathroom is a bit dated, but good space with separate toilet, sink, shower/bath rooms all just off the entry hall way.||||Mood is casual, with people wearing their robes and casual clothes to meals and around the hotel. Clearly a place to relax and not be worried.||||Great views and location. WiFi only in the lobby area, but you aren't there to work, right? And many rooms allow smoking, so sniff first if you are worried. Views in back include a small farm, but do include the river so angle your chair and save some money on the room -- in those cases, 3rd floor was better than 5th because it allowed me to hide the farm...
