If you're looking to get away from the busy city life and decompress in nature without worrying about packing a ton of camping gear, Dot Glamping might be a great choice for you!
The campsite has a great view of Mt. Fuji and comes with a dainty sauna that's open between 4:00 pm and 9:00 pm. The cabin we had had 2 double-size bunk beds, a couch area, and a bathroom and shower. There are also a mini-fridge, a projector, an outdoor barbecue grill, a hammock, and some boardgames. They also provide a basic barbecue set that makes packing a lot more stress-free and and even incense to ward off mosquitos.
I recommend washing and cutting up your food beforehand because there isn't a separate washing area for your vegetables and dishes other than the bathroom sink. Also, bring some paper towels and wet wipes because barbecue can get messy! If you plan on grilling a lot of meat items or saucy items, a grill brush and aluminum foil might also be a good idea!
My overall experience at Dot Glamping was very intimate and relaxing. With four people in one cabin, you could feel a bit cramped at times, but, hey, that's the camping part in glamping! The staff we encountered were extremely friendly and gave us good tips on where to visit around the area. If you wake up early enough, you might also get to see the sky turning a beautiful shade of purple and red around the time of sunrise.
Barbecue tools provided: skewers, cups, tongs, grill, wooden plates, knife, cutting board, and utensils )
Recommended items to bring: paper towels, wet wipes, oil brush, grill brush, aluminum foil, sunscreen, swimsuit for glamorous picture time in/outside the sauna
Places to visit around the area: Oishi Park, Iyashinosato Ancient...
Read moreAs my first time glamping, I was amazed and satisfied with the overall concept and facility. I visited with four friends, and we had loads of fun while grilling in the outdoors. One of the best amenities is the sauna, where you can relax and decompress. The actual living space was very luxurious and modern, with a sweet industrial appeal and a super comfy bed, but it was a little tight with four people. This place is in an excellent location since you have a fantastic view of Mt. Fuji and less than 5 minutes to the main road. Since this campsite is new, there are a few things that could make the whole experience way better but overall, it's a great place. Remember to ask the staff, who are friendly and speak several languages, for anything you might need during your stay, preferably at check-in, so you don't have to come back again. I highly recommend Dot Glamping for those looking to get out of the city and chill with...
