Iwaki Prince Hotel — Hotel in Iwaki

I've not a lot of Japanese travel experience as this was my first time in Japan. This hotel was $100/person/night. Overpriced by US standards for the very small/basic room. BUT...the extremely helpful staff more than made up for the cost. The staff don't speak much English at all, but were extra attentive and we were able to communicate using Google translate on our phones. The staff went out of their way to be sure we were taken care of in every aspect of our visit helping us get taxis and even driving us to locations at times in their personal vehicles. Excellent wifi on each floor but have to get the floor's separate access code. Tasty, traditional buffet breakfast of fish, rice, miso soup, vegetables, fresh fruit, coffee, rolls and juices. The rooms were clean and, despite only being able to get a smoking room, the room/furniture were not stinky at all. We had friends that stayed at another hotel that cost more and said there rooms were even smaller; so we were happy with ours. 値段の割に至れり尽くせり

水曜日の宿泊でしたが、5400税込＆駐車場代無料＆朝食付きでした。

部屋の壁紙や廊下のカーペットなど、老朽化はあったけれど、髭剃り＆ジェル、ボディ泡泡タオル、歯ブラシ、ロビーにクシなどアメニティグッツも豊富で良かったです。

朝食は軽食かと思いきや和食メインのバイキング。 品数もまずまずで覚えている範囲で 昆布、海苔、生卵、目玉焼き、きゅうちゃん、大根の昆布巻き？、鮭焼き、ちくわ、ソーセージ、納豆、梅干し、牛すき、味噌汁、ご飯、サラダ、ヨーグルト、リンゴ・みかんジュース、水、牛乳 コーヒーとかパンもあったような・・・ 価格が安いホテルの朝食は期待していなかったけれど、予想に反して良かったです！

トイレはウォッシュレット付き、冷蔵庫有りでしたが、冷蔵庫の冷えはちょっと微妙です。どこのホテルもそうですが、冷凍は付いてません。

部屋の冷房はLOWで結構冷えます。 微調整は効かないかもしれません。寝るときしっかり羽織って寝れば、少し涼しいので、グッスリ寝れました。

珍しくっていうか始めて見ましたが、水性香取が備え付けてあって、ご自由にお使いくださいと書いてありました。 虫嫌いな人には嬉しい配慮ですね！ でも、液体が切れてました。これは愛嬌ですね笑 フロントに言えば変えてくれるでしょうから、まったく問題ありません。

フロントの外人のお姉さんが日本語で対応してくれました。 私の書いた汚い字を確認で一緒懸命読み返してくれていた姿は可愛く好感を得ました。
