This was one of my favourite Marriott experiences. Sensen Rin was so kind and patient with us during check in as she guided us throughout the process The message feature in the app and check in experience with Sarita and Watanabe made it very easy to figure out the free hotel shuttle from Shuzenji station direct to the hotel. I was provided an upgrade due to my membership tier with the Bonvoy loyalty program which I greatly appreciated as a kind gesture. It allowed me to wake up and see Mount Fuji in all its glory during the days of clear weather and the onsen was clean and exemplary. The lounge has a clear view of Mount Fuji and was very tech friendly with amazing dispensing machines for beer and wine, and I appreciated the regional menu on offer such as the sake, pickled wasabi to the regional breakfast items - all explained with English friendly signs. Breakfast was a pleasure to look forward to with the egg ordering system easy to enjoy in both languages. The regional omelette with shrimp was something I had never tried before and I found was always expertly cooked. I would like to commend the high service of the restaurant and lounge staff and the management who made every touch point a seamless and easy experience. I took the opportunity to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful nature using the nature path which was enjoyable, although I can imagine a bit of a challenge for elderly if it was slippery after rain. My only wish is for usb chargers to be provided in the room but the hotel lent me a charger cable which solved the problem for me. Thank you 🙏

Perfect hotel for a relaxing getaway during the pandemic. The hotel is located away from the town in a remote area surrounded by mountains and greenery. Very peaceful! The hotel shares the grounds with the Laforet Resort and all facilities can be used by guests from either hotel. There's a free hourly shuttle bus to/from Shuzenji station which was fantastic as we weren't driving. The hotel itself was spotless. Very modern and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked the premium twin room with private open air hot spring! It was bliss soaking in the hot spring water with a nice mountain view and not having to worry about other guests. The room itself was spacious, around 50 sqm. Very new, very clean, super comfy beds, and free stable wi-fi. There's one dining option in the hotel but more options at the Laforet hotel if you want. We just stayed at the Marriott. Food was great if a little expensive but it was local produce I think so can't really complain. Advise to bring your own food if you're on a budget. There's nothing else nearby. There's other shared facilities such as a fitness room, bedrock sauna, swimming pool etc. All in all, very happy with our stay there. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful stay!! Took my son on an 18th bday trip to Japan and we came from The Prince Autograph Collection Marriott banner hotel stay in Kyoto for four nights to Izu. We pulled up in our rental car (train Kyoto to Mishima & rental at Mishima station) and the staff rushed out to gather our luggage from us and even parked our vehicle for us. We were ushered to check in desk and were treated so well! (I’m Titanium Bonvoy so taking advantage of the perks) The staff had emailed in advance to inquire about our booking and confirmed we didn’t need a pet friendly suite, which we had booked due to price and limited offerings in Japan of two bed suites; and then at check in advised us we had been upgraded to a Mt Fuji facing room with a private onsen on the deck. We thanked the front desk staff for this kind gesture and how it would make my son’s bday trip that much more special. After the staff brought us and our luggage to the room, we settled in to check out our space and less than 5-10 mins later heard a knock on the door and were so delighted to have an employee bring in a triple high tray of custom sweets & chocolates with a Happy Birthday message on it. What a special touch and the birthday man was speechless as the staff asked for a camera and captured the moment for us! Very thoughtful and hats off to the team at this hotel for the hospitality & quick thinking in this welcome gift. We enjoyed our complimentary access to the club lounge to enjoy the food offerings & take in the great selection of self serve cocktails & other beverages. Lounge wasn’t the newest I’ve been in but was well stocked, with staff circling to clear dishes as needed and the food was A+. Views in the lounge look out onto the mountain range and Mt Fuji. We caught the breathtaking colours of the sunset and enjoyed ourselves. Retreating to the room, the private Onsen is such A nice amenity and especially with Japanese style robes offered for use in the room. Decor is modern & earth toned which suits the locale. Beds and bedding were super comfortable! Breakfast buffet is first class and the best I’ve had at a Marriott.. to the point that I wish our stomaches were larger to try more of the selection. Overall very impressed, great stay and would recommend to anyone wanting great service, a quiet peaceful getaway or those who love golf (right beside hotel).

Unfortunately only one night due to our travel plans but we contemplated extending a night it was so nice there; even though we would have sacrificed the cost of our next hotel night destination. Thanks to the Izu Marriott team for such a special...

Our family retreat to the Marriott Izu Shuzenji was a delightful blend of luxury, tranquility, and exploration. Here’s a candid take on our experience:||||The Good:||We nestled into a family suite that epitomized comfort and elegance, with its spacious interiors, modern amenities, and a charming balcony that showcased the serene beauty of nature. The staff were a hallmark of hospitality, always attentive with warm smiles. The on-site onsen was a realm of relaxation, offering a peaceful escape amidst nature. The dining experience was a culinary delight, with a wide array of scrumptious options catering to our varied tastes.||||The Bad:||The only downside was the challenge of venturing out without a car due to the resort's somewhat secluded location. It hindered our plans to explore the vicinity effortlessly.||||Just OK:||The lounge was quite small which somewhat limited our leisure time there, but it was cozy nonetheless.||||Tips and Recommendations:||||The onsen experience is a must-try, it's rejuvenating to the core amidst a serene setting.||Venture out to nearby travel spots; the surrounding beauty and attractions are worth the exploration and add a fun adventure to the stay.||Don't miss out on the local delicacies at the resort's restaurant, they are a treat to the palate.||Despite minor inconveniences, Marriott Izu Shuzenji emerged as a wonderful abode offering a blend of relaxation and adventure. The beautiful setting, coupled with exemplary amenities and warm hospitality, rendered our stay memorable. The nearby explorations added a sprinkle of adventure, making our retreat a cherished family memory. Highly recommended for families seeking a mix of relaxation and local...
