We were reccommended by our Japanese friend to Kamogawa Hills Resort by chance as our Tokyo preferred hotel is fully booked over that weekend. The train ride from Tokyo JR Station took 1 hour & 45 min. A chartered minibus was waiting for us at the destination train station. The resort was situated at the top of a hill (as the name implies). From our room balcony on 9th floor, we overlooked the coast line around the area. The wind was very strong along the region coastal area dring our 1-night stay. We could hear the rattling of doors and windows through the night. The hotel rate was charged per person and includes dinner & breakfast. We had choices of traditional Japanese room with tatami floor or western room with beds. Onsen facility was very clean and professional. The dinner was served as sets with a wide spread of traditional Japanese cuisine. The same restaurant served buffet breakfast the next morning. The building itself is almost 30-40 years old but with good maintenance whereas some facility may be out of order.
