スターダストヴィレッジ星生(星生倶楽部・星生平） — Hotel in Kokonoe

Positive: The mountain views from the room was breathtaking and splendid. Had a 180 degrees unobstructed view of so many mountains.All the rooms are facing the mountain. Accommodation is clean, well-maintained, spacious with a living and dinning area. We stayed in a room for 4 people. Our room had 2 western beds and 2 futon beds, bathroom and toilet. The staff speaks minimal English but is able to brief us with the aid of a translator device which is great. The instructions were clear enough. Free parking. We park our car right infront of our unit. We decided to stay a night here as the accommodation is just 1 min drive away from the Tadewara wetland, Chojabaru Visitor Centre, Kokonoe Visitor Centre after our visit at Tadewara Wetland. Wish we had stayed for another day just to relax and enjoy the view from the room. Will definitely come back again.. Negative: The outdoor onsen was really really hot when my family was using it in the evening. We saw a staff checking the temperature when we were leaving. It will be better if they can check...

Our apartment had a 2 sgl beds in a room, another room with tatami, a living room with a small kitchenette and the view of the mountains. Nothing more I could ask for. There's an indoor onsen and an outdoor one, and both are good. We had sukiyaki served in our apartment, a bit pricy but good.

Now, the best is this story: the night of our stay, it snowed and the place looked marvellous....BUT the roads turned icy and I had a hard time preventing the car from sliding off the road! Parked the car and walked back to the reception and told them that I might be waiting till afternoon for the roads to thaw. The senior manager there without any hesitation got his colleague, took us in their vehicle and went to our car, and he drove our car down the mountain to below the icy area before letting us back into our vehicle and waving us off. This place is heaven after our trekking on Kuju Mountains. All staff is very nice, kind and warm-welcomed. Reception staff has translator making our check in process quick and easier to understand all stuff at the hotel. They also provide us a free service to store our laptops as we did the overnight trek and didnt want to leave them in the car. Clean and spacious room. Good vibes and good view. They have outdoor, indoor and even family room onsen. All are very nice and the outdoor onsen is super amazing - We love it so much. In-room dinner and breakfast is perfect.
