The hotel is good. Seems quite old-style, like a Prince Hotel. Family friendly, the kids are happy here. The place is clean however everything including the room seemed average. Except… the dinner and breakfast buffet are truly wonderful. The dining area is bright and beautiful. The food and selection were superb. So much great choice and although it was really busy it never felt like it. The food was always plentiful and the place seems to absorb the crowds well. The service was also really friendly. The hotspring public bath is also really good. Big, clean and relaxing. No sauna though.||||I’m not sure if there is any other hotel choice when in Motegi, but we had a good stay.||||Motegi Twin Rings is a great place. So much to do. There was no racing when we were there during the obon holidays, but there was so much for the families to do. There was a fireworks festival at the racetrack. There was a fair with rides and games. The best is Hello Woods, which is a great place for the kids to enjoy nature. There is a hiking area where they can hunt for insects and other things on the mountain. Japanese kids seem to love beetles and that is a huge thing at Hello Woods. Really a great place.||||We also did “Glamping” for one night. The glamping at Motegi twin Rings was really good. The tents are solid, they have beds and couches in them. Electricity and fans. It is clean and there were no mosquito during our stay (whew!). The grounds are beautiful, great for the kids to run around. Each campsite has parking and a BBQ set-up. Almost everything you need is provided or available. There is a central fire pit as well. There is a central wash area with toilets. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk away from the campsite. You can freely use the public bath at the hotel, which was very nice and clean. I heard the hotel can provide the food for your BBQ, although on the day we were there that service was not available due to the high volume of guests. Probably you could head up to the hotel for breakfast as well if it isn’t too busy.||||The campsite also has cabin and regular camping options.||The area is quite beautiful, very natural feeling. I’m sure you can see some beautiful star-filled skies on a clear night.||This was a very nice place and an excellent option for glamping,...
Read moreYou're not likely to have heard of Twin Ring Motegi unless you love MotoGP / Nascar. The Hotel Twin Ring services this amazing track, playing host to the hoards that descend for the various race meetings.||||My man being a fan of MotoGP, it was on our must see list while we're living here in Japan. And while he would have preferred our visit coincided with an actual race, going there and visiting the amazing Honda Collection Hall was good enough.||||Thus we arrived in the middle of winter, when only the die hards would make the journey. The Hotel, which is really the only accommodation option at the track itself, was great. Let's say 4 star, 4 star.||||We were unable to make the reservation ourselves as the website is all in Japanese, and even google translate wasn't able to do it justice. Fortunately, we have a lovely Japanese friend who did the honours on our behalf.||||When we arrived at the hotel via taxi from Motegi Station, the front desk clerk was able to speak enough English to complement my just enough Japanese and check in happened efficiently. Our twin room on the 2nd floor overlooking the track (at a distance) was large, clean, warm and fully featured. There is no Wifi in the room, however there is free Wifi in the lounge/lobby area.||||We chose to have the room + meals package, due to necessity. Dinner was a set meal, 4 course and very good. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty to choose from - suitable for those with a Western or Eastern taste.||||The hotel also has a spa, however we didn't avail ourselves on this trip.||||The Honda Collection Hall is a worthy reason to travel to the Twin Ring - and if you happen to have tickets to the race events, this is the place to...
Read moreWe went during the off season (no races going on) but there were track days so when we woke up, we saw bikes on the track through the window. We went downstairs to catch a shuttle that took us to the track. The people there were really friendly and let us walk through the garage areas to look and take pictures of their cool bikes. We got to stand and watch dozens of people do their track day. Later, we went to the amusement park and had a lot of fun because it was empty and just us with a few other people. The Honda collection hall was amazing and had every car and bike you've heard, thought about or dreamt of seeing. It was free to get in too. We did buy some shirts and other tokens for gifts there. Food at the track was delicious. The hotel had ok food. Dinner was good. Breakfast was ok. The room itself was clean and the beds were better than other beds we have slept in around Japan lol. People were very nice and helpful, even with our language barrier. Thank goodness for google translate which work great. Overall it was a great experience to be in Motegi and staying a few nights at hotel twin ring. We...
