Another sensational stay at Mountain Hut Lodge. The entire team involved are so helpful and obliging. They offer flexible transfers between any Mountain you choose to ski at. The lodge is in a beautiful location 😍. Excellent drying room ensures toasty garments to wear in the morning. Rooms are typical japanese size but more than adequate. Plenty of hot water in the ensuite shower. Very comfy beds, pillows and bedding. Breakfast is very good indeed. A lovely mix of people in the lodge while we were there. Communication with the owners was excellent and very helpful. We would highly recommend this lodge. It comes as no surprise that there many repeat bookings! We have booked our 3rd trip for next season! You must try their pizza restaurant, 2 pines, at Suginohara! Also book the local ramen restaurant Arokan. A lovely 15 minute walk away! A big shout out to the entire team who excelled throughout! Thank you!

Superior and style ski hut not just for big group of youngsters but family with kids. It’s fantastic experience for my teenage boys, a chance to meet with group-ups from different countries. Owner Neil and Tayler as well as their crew are friendly, felt like living in their home. Big shoutout to coach Neil, coach Arthur and coach Dave. My 14 years old boy unlocked snowboarding in just 3 days from ground zero, my 11 years old boy surprised everyone with jumps and 360 turn😳. Adult 1x1 ski lesson is highly recommended, especially for parents who want to catch up with kids.

Escape Myoko have been incredible. From their responsiveness on emails with initial queries, to accommodating last minute changes to lessons, to their amazing pizzas, to going out of their way to find the right size boot for me, and such patient and engaging instruction for my first time skier and snowboarder. Neil, Tayler and Arthur have gone absolutely above and beyond and I would come back to them in a heartbeat if we ever return to Myoko. Thank you Escape Myoko!

We were eight adults staying at Sugi Chalet (the associated self contained lodge at Sugi) and had a fantastic two weeks in late Feb 2024. The lodge is very comfortable and warm, being a recently and very tastefully renovated traditional Japanese guest house with low height doorways and low height everything. The hosts Tayler and Neil were excellent communicators and did everything possible to ensure we had a great stay. The six upstairs bedrooms contained very comfortable beds with warm doonas and are well heated by gas which we turned off when sleeping but we were never cold. The three bathrooms have plenty of hot water; the two original style bathrooms with showers and plunge tubs on the ground floor can be a bit chilly,. Wash hand basins are in common areas on the bedroom floor, Japanese guesthouse style. There are four separate toilets and a fifth in the upstairs bathroom. The kitchen is a good commercial setup and we cooked every night when not enjoying pizza from Two Pines pizzeria; cooking utensils are adequate, just. The two lounge rooms are comfortable and one contains a large flat screen TV. The drying room in the entry foyer didn't really work but this is going to be rectified by 2025 winter apparently. The lodge is situated a couple of hundred metres above the Romance Chair loading point; you need to walk about 100m up a slight incline to access the ski run down to the chair which then gives access to the Suginohara gondola for some great skiing. Hiring a van provided by Sugi Chalet is highly recommended for getting around. Will definitely return again if we have a large group - a very enjoyable fortnight at Sugi Chalet - thank you...

We have had the most fantastic 10 days at Sugi Chalet! We were a group of 13 and the lodge was absolutely perfect for us. There were enough bathrooms, very comfy bedrooms, plenty of break out spaces, the commercial kitchen was well equipped and everything we could need. Tayler, Neil and their teams went above and beyond for us - we hired our gear through them, had a private lesson with Neil, ate delicious pizzas (and had them delivered) at their Two Pines Pizza and they very kindly shuttled us to/from the train station.

The location is ski in and pretty much out, at the bottom of the locals chair at Sugi. We hired two vans for our stay which I would highly recommend - allows you to go to the supermarket, experience a range of dining options (can recommend Hotel Silverhorn in Akakura and Arakin Ramen in Ikenotaira Onsen resort), and travel to the other resorts including Akakura Onsen and Kanko which provided more unreal skiing.

Overall we had the best time - absolutely unbelievable snow and a fantastic stay with Escape Myoko - already planning our...

My Girlfriend and I spent 7 nights at ‘The Mountain Hutt’ in Myoko…We can not say enough about how much we loved our time here…The place it’s self is very cosy…Staff were great to meet and were very helpful the whole time we stayed…Driving us to the mountain resorts and cooking us a delicious breakfast every morning…Rooms are tidy and very comfortable (mattresses especially which I’m fussy about being a tradesman with a bad back haha) The kitchen is well kept which we liked as we cooked some of our meals while we were there…The hosts also have an epic pizza place (Two pines) up the road which we highly recommend as it’s a great feed with a wine list to match…especially the South Oz Grenache ;) We meet other cool people both at the accommodation and at Two Pines which we hope to hang out with again…we can’t wait to go back and stay with Escape Myoko…Thanks again to all the staff Especially Tayler, Neil, Dave, Ben, Pheobe,...
