Kawaratei — Hotel in Myoko

Came here a second time after day camping at Itoigawa’s Nou area. It was a perfect onsen to end the day and before returning to Nagano. We came in the day during the springtime and could see the lane of cherry blossom trees from the outdoor bath. It was so beautiful!

It’s pretty far from a train station if commuting. We had to call a taxi the first time we went. Driving here...

A breathtaking Japanese hotel in every way. Impeccable taste and stylings and unbelievable designs. Mountain and rice field views while only fifteen minutes from city centre and this a place to visit in any of the seasons. ●最寄りが「北陸新幹線の上越妙高駅」からならタクシーで。もう少し手前なら「妙高はねうまラインの北新井」から徒歩40分ほど（冬は止めて下さい、八甲田山状態になります）。||県道？国道？63号を超えて田んぼと桜並木の向こう、鮫ヶ尾城跡の山を背に、かわら亭はあります。入り口を入ると「ほっと一息感」のある、天井の高い和の佇まい。靴箱も大きいので長いブーツで来てもOK。||●右手のカウンターで受付を済ませたらロビー直結の神社へお参りを。それから脇に直ぐ裏山の鮫ヶ尾城での激戦を物語る出土品があります。某小説ファンの方には某武将様を偲ぶのに長々と時間を取られてしまいがちですので、ちょっと時間管理にはお気を付けて。||●荷物を部屋に置いたら温泉へGO！因みに私は3泊で9回温泉に浸かって皮膚の傷が半分まで回復しました（あくまで個人的な感想です。また、医師指定の温泉治療目的ではありません。あくまで自己責任です）。さすが美肌の湯。4泊5日もできていたら8割回復できたかも…（惜）。||●食堂もあるので、そこで3桁ほどでリーズナブルに済ますもOK（おそば美味しかった…）。rodeo...
