Resol no Mori — Hotel in Nagara

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Resol no Mori twice—once with my family and once with my boyfriend—and both experiences were nothing short of magical.

One of the highlights was the stargazing; the night sky was breathtaking, and the fresh air made it even more enjoyable. The peacefulness of the surroundings truly allowed us to unwind and appreciate the beauty around us.

I particularly loved the campfire right at the door. It created such a welcoming atmosphere, and making s’mores was a delightful way to spend the evening.

The onsen was another standout feature, offering a relaxing soak with stunning views. The building itself is aesthetically appealing, enhancing the overall experience of tranquility.

Our glamping accommodations were spotless and beautifully designed, providing the perfect blend of comfort and nature. Plus, we were greeted by several friendly cats enjoying the sun, which added a charming touch to our stay.

Visiting in November was a treat, as the red leaves painted the landscape in stunning colors. Being far from the hustle and bustle of busy towns felt like stepping into a fairytale, making it an incredibly relaxing getaway.

The food at the restaurant and during our BBQ was of excellent quality, satisfying our appetites after a day of exploring. The sports center is expansive, equipped with numerous facilities that make it a fantastic place for a retreat to reset and recharge.

My husband and I stayed one night in a cabin. I have to say the overall experience was disappointing. The service is lacking and the staff are indifferent. We were there Monday and Tuesday. Almost all activities need to be reserved in advance. We wanted to do Zipline and putt putt golf but were told it was reserved all morning for a private party. After driving by a couple of times found it to be open and empty . Most places only take cash or PayPay so be prepared. The hotel restaurant only has a few items on the menu. If you want something else the only choice is a buffet at the gym. The resort says it's all inclusive but I have to disagree. Before booking a cottage or hotel make sure to ask what is available and are advanced reservations needed , as well as price and whether or not they plan on suddenly closing the activity. A lovely place with beautiful views, perfect for a short get away. The dinner and breakfast were delicious and delivered right to our door in our cabin. The cabin was very clean and packed with lots of practical items to include umbrellas, jackets, a heater and small lamps to use outside. We only felt the room needed a bit more lighting as it was a bit dark. The check in and check out process went smoothly and the main building has a small shop where you can buy anything you may need for your stay. The staff was friendly and the service was great.
