Seimei No Mori Resorts — Hotel in Nagara

Apparently it's insanely difficult for the chefs to cook without any meat or fish, despite being warned in advance of a reservation. I stayed here for almost 2 weeks and some days all I could eat was rice and salad because every option served at the buffet contained meat or fish in some way. At least it was labeled... The cabin beds were very uncomfortable; similar to sleeping on a brick. There were many bugs, but at least bug spray was provided. Since the cabin rooms are connected by a locked door, you can hear everything very clearly including conversations. The larger tatami style housing was nicer than the cabins for sure. They had comfortable beds and plenty of futons. The pillows were small buckwheat ones, which was surprisingly comfortable as well. 本格的なBBQグリルが使えるのでまるでアメリカに来てBBQしている気分になります。

アメリカンサイズのグリルなので迫力満点なのに対して、野菜が細かく切られているので下に落ちてしまいがちなのが少し残念でしたが、蓋つきグリルでジューシーに焼いたことでお肉も野菜も大変美味しく食べることができました。
