The spa facilities are nothing short of extraordinary. The moment we entered the reception hall, we were greeted by the soothing aroma of seasalt and the tranquil energy. The decor was elegant and tasteful, creating an ambiance that instantly transported me to a state of blissful serenity.
The rooms at the 14th Floor were impeccable and spacious with wide windows overlooking the beautiful view of Noto Sea. The dining options at the Dining Hall were equally impressive. The service offered a delectable array of culinary delights, with an emphasis on healthy and locally sourced ingredients. I entered the wedding hall at first, and knew it wasn't correct. The hotel entrance is a little bit to the left from the wedding hall, you go down a slight hill to get to the main doors. Japanese hotel rooms are generally smaller, I had stayed in a very small room elsewhere, so the room at Noto Raku was a good deal bigger to me. It had a nice view of Wakura Onsen, with a little wicker chair at the window. Water was already boiled in an electric kettle when I entered, so you can begin your relaxation with a hot drink. There were four yukatas neatly folded on the bed, 2 red and 2 blue, along with 2 reversible haoris and tie belts. The main onsen goes until midnight. You put on a yukata and haori (keep your underwear on), put on the hotel slippers, grab your towel (you can bring a hand towel in a plastic tie bag in the bathroom), and head on over. 2nd floor is the female bath, close to the front desk. There are two outdoor parts to the bath, including one where you can lay down in shallow water, with a stone pillow, and look into the stars. There is also a 7th floor onsen where you can see a beautiful view of the water and Notojima. Breakfast is free with your stay. It is very Japanese style. Overall, a great experience for me, very relaxing, and beautiful hotel. You will need to know Japanese somewhat if you want...
Read moreThis hotel locates at the edge of the center of Wakura-Onsen which is about one hours train ride from Kanazawa. I wished to book another big name hotel but they had only very expensive rooms. So I chose this hotel as the second choice which turned out very successful. I booked a room without knowing the details since there were already almost no choice as well. When my wife and I arrived this hotel earlier, the manager asked me to wait for about 20 minutes despite of the fact that the room was ready. Later, when we entered my room, the semi-open bath was just at the right premature to jump in. Of course, there are big onsen baths but some rooms like ours have own private bath, semi-open to see the Bay. Very beautiful. The food did not look appealing but tasted great. Small point is that the customer service persons were little under staffed so sometimes the level of attention, in Japanese OMOTENASHI, was not sufficient of prompt enough but still it remained far more than acceptable level. I was very glad of my choice when we...
