What a place to stay !! For a first Onsen style capsule pod hotel, this blew all expectations out the water. Massage facilities as well as electric massage chairs, study/work nooks, a shop, and four restaurants to cater any craving needs. Remove your shoes immediately and place them in a locker (located to the right when you enter the hotel). Exceptionally clean facilities, the onsen has numerous washing areas, a cold plunge pool, Sauna (90-100°C), Jacuzzi bath, three mineral hot baths, and outdoor hot bath, plus Ion bath. The Onsen is open until 1am and is busy from 5pm-10pm daily.Massages start from around 2000¥Sleeping pods are spacious, although the lockable lockers within the pods are around 9 inches deep. There’s a hanging rail, and beside the sleeping area you’ll find a TV, power outlet, and standard USB charging point. Access: The hotel is located on the 1st floor. Use the outdoor escalators beside the bus terminal. There’s a McDonalds plus various other eateries and shops within the shopping mall, including a supermarket that sells everything from lighting, small/large electronics, and bicycles. If you’re visiting Makuhari Messe like I did, Uber will cost you 2000-3000¥ each way - taking around 10 minutes in peak hour traffic. The local staffed train station is located beside the Bus Terminal, providing decently quick access into Tokyo.Staff were extremely friendly, smiling, and always happy to help. There is a smokers lounge room...
Read moreStayed here the last day of my 11 day trip, and it was one of my favorite stays so far.
IMPORTANT! - This place operates as a public bath first and foremost!!! They have overnight cabins that resemble capsule hotels that guests can stay in (which is what I stayed in), but to clarify - THIS IS NOT A TRADITIONAL HOTEL. I repeat, this is NOT a traditional hotel.
Several of the other critical reviews seem to be from visitors who didn't do their research and didn't realize they were not going to get a traditional stay. They have 2 cabins with capsules you can sleep in (seperated by gender), but you have to book in advance, otherwise you'll have to sleep in the central lounge.
But disclaimers aside, I really enjoyed my stay. The vibes were really incredible, and so were the baths. I took one before I went to bed and got up early before I headed to the airport to take one again. They also have great restaurants within the building as well.
Staff was very friendly and helpful, location is convenient (2 mins away from Shin-Narashino station). And the cost of an overnight stay + access to the baths was really cheap. Only about $30 after tax. Great place to stay if you want a unique...
Read moreIt’s a nice onsen complemented with the cabin/capsule bedroom facilities. The cabin is quite big compared to usual capsule bedroom (at least compared to the one I’ve tried). Each cabin complemented with a tv, personal locker, several power plugs, they even provide amenoties like headset and earplug in the cabin. But the cabin door is only a pulled down blinds, so don’t expect a good sound insulation! But generally the cabin room is very quite, so you better not be the one to make the fuss haha..
There’s also a huge restaurant hall where you can order foods, it looks like a food court system where you order and you can sit wherever you are then they will call you when your food is ready. The hall itself is very comfortable, lots of seating, with chairs or on the floor.they also have comic bookshelves, locker, bedrock sauna etc. The hall is what connect the whole building, and at night, actually lots of people are sleeping in this hall instead of the cabin. Maybe they were enjoying times with friends and fall asleep in the hall instead of cabin haha.
Overall, great...
