The "Hilton Narita - Airport" hotel is probably one of the higher quality hotels located near that Narita airport, although, you're quite the trek from Tokyo city if you're planning on spending a lot of time there.
The hotel itself is very clean, comfortable and quiet. I had absolutely no problems getting the rest that I needed at any time of the day or night, especially with the fourteen hour time difference from back home.
Breakfast itself is a decent, buffet-style Breakfast, catering to North-American, International and Asian tourists. Breakfast really isn't anything special, in fact, I'd rather eat elsewhere if I had something else near the hotel to choose from.
Lunch and Supper at the hotel's restaurant is nothing special and it is quite expensive as well.
The hotel provides a free shuttle bus that leaves approximately twice an hour throughout most hours of the day to the Airport, local Shopping Mall, and the Train Station (which takes you to Tokyo). The shuttle ends around 2330hrs (1130pm) and start back up at approximately 6-0700hrs. If you take the free shuttle the the train station, you will find a sufficient amount of restaurants, stores and bars in the area. If you are into Nightlife, you may want to consider visiting "Jet Lag" bar and "The Cage" Karaoke bar, which is walking distance from the "Narita Train Station".
Overall, this hotel is perfect for catching up on rest, relaxing and provides free transportation to get you where you want to go within Narita. It is not an ideal hotel to stay in if you plan on spending a lot of time...
Read moreOK, after my 2nd stay recently, I have to correct my review. I know it’s a Doubletree like Hilton (no executive lounge, dated room, etc.) but with the ~$100 price I shouldn’t expect much so I was giving 5 stars still. But the recent stay does make me feel the degradation of the quality. First is the room, the sink in my room is semi clogged, I think it’s still something easy to find out during housekeeping but it was not. Second, the breakfast quality degraded. In the previous breakfast, there were more varieties of fruits, steamed salmon, shumai and many other hot and fresh stuffs, but they are all gone, and the alternatives barely align with the same standard and taste… Third, the staff is less hospitable, regardless of the front desk or at the breakfast. I was kind of unhappy that my 2pm late check out request was rejected, even though with Diamond status. The late check out is the biggest reason I chose to stay here. Also the staff’s English could improve more… Fourth, the shuttle bus frequency is unsatisfying. There is only one bus per hour making the planning a headache if you miss one in that hour. Also the bus is shared with multiple other hotels, adding up extra time cost… So overall I reduced my rating, but still 4 stars considering it’s price, despite the price is already very high compared with other airport hotels nearby. Will I stay again? probably not, at least for the next time. I saw many travelers got on the shuttle of Hotel Mystay next to Hilton, might try that one...
Read moreAfter a night at the Conrad Tokyo we stayed here for our final night in Japan.
After reading reviews about the Hilton being dated and popular for flight crew, we really didn't expect much.
I did get an upgrade to the 11th floor (Diamond member) but our room had a weird smell and the bumped us up to a suite.
Overall, yes, it may feel a bit dated, but it is a clean hotel with a really helpful and friendly staff.
breakfast buffet as usual had both American and Japanese options. I actually thought the miso soup here was better than at the Conrad.
Gym in the basement is spacious and clean with a lap pool that has big pane windows that makes it feel almost like you're outside.
Bed was comfy. Pillow a bit firm but comfy. Air cleaner and humidifier combo in both rooms we saw. Bidet instructions were all in Japanese but we were already familiar with how to use them by this point.
No executive lounge so they give you a free drink voucher to use at the bar. Also means only two bottles of complementary water in the room... Which we refilled at the gym as needed.
For about $200, this is a decent stay. I wouldn't pay $300.
Bonus: free hotel bus to and from Narita airport and from hotel to Narita Station (downtown area in Narita?)
If you need a break from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, visit the Narita temple and park. This was the perfect end to our time in...
