Nestled within a picturesque winery in Niigata, this place has garnered a beloved reputation among locals. Despite our winter visit coinciding with a snowstorm, our experience was nothing short of delightful. This establishment is truly a hidden gem.
We opted for a package that included breakfast and dinner, and the evening meal was exceptional. It began with a brief tour of the winery, complemented by aperitifs and amuse bouche prior to dinner. The service was impeccable, with staff members dedicated to ensuring our dinner was memorable. The dinner featured dishes crafted from fresh, local ingredients, each bursting with flavor.
The hotel is modern with a rustic charm, luxurious yet inviting. Equipped with Aveda amenities, our room was a haven of comfort amidst the snowstorm.
During our stay, we were presented with a "Winter Passport," granting us tokens for complimentary meals and activities, including wine, bread, and sausage tastings. Additionally, we enjoyed unlimited access to a nearby onsen, which provided a wonderfully soothing experience.
The following morning, we were treated to an impressive breakfast spread featuring local delicacies such as homemade honey, bread, jam, and Niigata vegetables. The hospitality was unparalleled, with staff continuously bringing forth freshly baked breads, including sausage and cranberry bread, straight from the oven. We are truly grateful for the warmth and care we received during our visit.
In summary, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wholeheartedly recommend this enchanting hotel to anyone seeking a relaxing and special...

@ the hotel. CAVE D'OCCI is a pioneer in Japanese wine and has been making wine since the 90s and grow 18 globetrotting types of grapes. Lovely summer escape to this quiet offbeat location, I was the only non Japanese here and heard zero English except from one Japanese American couple here. Fantastic and much appreciated massage at the Aveda spa, wine tour, onsens, laid back but great service, there are numerous restaurants, cafes (including a book cafe), and shops here.
