Was here for 2 night stay while touring Nikko. Excellent service and perfect food. Especially surprised and happy to find all 4 meals were completely different but equally good. The view was also great from both the room and the onsen. Most importantly though, I really appreciate the hospitality that was shown here, down to the small details. Only downside (not hotel's fault) was that my prepaid Docomo sim card basically had no signal here for the entire stay.

Well. It was an experience, they are extremly polite and they make you feel special. Only downside is that there is very little english and the staff doesn’t seem to speak much of it. Food is fresh and healthy however it’s not everyones cup of tea Onsen is good but after booking and paying you still had to pay a bathing tax on check out which i thought was a joke.

We stay here for one night and are well taken care of. Staff are super friendly and very considerate. Foods (dinner and breakfast) are well prepared and very delicious. Prices are very reasonable. Definitely recommend anyone coming to Kinugawa to try it. If you come by railway, remember to get off in Kinugawa-koen, will save u some time to get to the hotel.

I visited and stayed two days at this ryokan to refresh from Utsunomiya. I enjoyed the quiet and relaxing atmosphere. This hotel is situated on the edge of Kinugawa Onsen area. It is 40 minutes away Nikko, the World heritage site. The room was clean and spacious. The view was wonderful. The mist from the surrounding mountains changed into fog on the green rice field accross the Kinugawa (Kinu river) in the morning. All Japanese would feel a sense of nostalgia. When they stay at Kinugawa Onsen area, if you stay in a hotel between Kinugawa Onsen station and Kinugawa Kouen station, you can see the errupt remains of once busy hotels through the windows...

We went as a couple at the end of October 2023 and we can say it was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. It’s a good value for money Ryokan to experience a traditional Japanese inn if you’re traveling to Nikko. We loved how spacious our room was, the balcony with a view to the river and the mountains, the bathroom was spotless (and they gave us complementary skin care samples and hygiene essentials), but the best thing of all was definitely the private onsen and the multi taster course dinner and breakfast! The staff were so professional and lovely too! I definitely recommend!...
