One male staff spoke very good English, the rest spoke only in Japanese.||||Room: toilet and sink; Japanese futons; table and sit-down chairs; low table and floor cushions; TV; hot water carafe (keeps water hot for whole night), cups, loose leaf tea; robes||||Hotel: not the most expensive, not the quaintest, modern facilities, accommodates vegetarian diet; takes credit cards (visa/MC); although wifi was advertised it was only available in the dining room and the reception area. ||||Meals: breakfast and dinner included. Breakfast became somewhat simpler and simpler over 4 days; ||||Hot spring (onsen): one for men and one for women; indoor and outdoor. ||||Tip: the last bus from the train station is about 6pm (510 yen)|| foreign ATM cards accepted at the post office (7 min walk from train station)|| buy food, etc. from big stores near the train station...
