I came soaking wet on an extremely late night and I was so welcomed by the clean, comfy feel of the place. The furniture is of quality and small to allow more space in the room n gives off a modern vibe. There is a convenience store next door.
Heading West: The subway has to be accessed by bus. (or u can cycle) Cross over to MacD and there is a brown building beside it with just a short bus stop sign. You can alight at Shimada station (25 min) if you are going west wards.
Heading East: For the East side, look opp from the open-air bus stop I mentioned and there is a paddy field with a bench and bus stop sign (also open-air). It goes towards Yaizu-nishi bus stop (10min) which is an impt bus stop. You need to walk down the stairs from the highway to walk to the subway (+10min).
However, usually I would walk further from the hotel to Yoshida IC and wait for the express bus to Shizuoka station (20min walk + 10min drive). The time taken seems long but in general travelling in Shizuoka is extremely long. (For eg. Bus to Izu Shaboten zoo from NEAREST stn was 2h on a crowded day, no waiting time. I had spent 4h from hotel to Ito station including waiting time, so I spent 6h+ to get there.) Regarding the bus stops for Yoshida IC, the express bus will drop you off at an unmarked point opp Yoshida IC. If you want to go to Shizuoka stn, be on the same side as Yoshida IC and walk further away from the hotel's direction to find the sheltered bus stop.
Other than these bus stops at MacD near hotel and Yoshida IC, there is a bus stop between these 2 locations on Google, called 井口堺. (Or just 井口 over there itself) However, the bus stop is totally unmarked and as it serves an airport bus, it is subject to availability and prior reservation. Personally, when I want to go to Shizuoka stn, even if this stop is nearer to the hotel, I would rather head over...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel for one night, but unfortunately a nightmare incident occurred. Upon check in, we went to our room, but when we opened the door we were very shocked to find another female guest already inside! Both of us were terrified.
We went to the front desk immediately , they seemed not think it’s a big issue simply stating that I had the wrong key and gave us the correct one for another room. This incident made us worried about hotel security, and we couldn't sleep well the entire night, which ruined our holiday.
After our trip, we reached out to the hotel to raise our concern, but they merely blamed it on a staff mistake. But the core issue lies with the hotel’s systems and procedures. How can a hotel allow a key to be issued to another guest after the room has already been checked in? Shouldn’t they have basic procedures to prevent this from happening!
While the hotel was comfy as mentioned in other reviews, I cannot give it a positive review due to my worst experience as hotel security should be the very basic requirement...
