glamping TOMAMU/グランピングトマム — Hotel in Shimukappu

We stayed here for 3 days 2 nights in mid December. The room is beautiful and cosy. Kids loved the hammock in the room. While there was no TV, the kids enjoyed the snow and tree house. Appreciate the staff setting up a lovely campfire for us on the first evening even though we were the only family there. We enjoyed the bbq dinners and wholesome spread for breakfast. Do not recommend 2 bbq dinners in a row. There is a promising restaurant or izakaya within walking distance nearby that we did not get a chance to check out. We spent a day at Hoshino Tomamu as well to have some activities there. Transport was kindly provided. Service was excellent- warm and friendly, most of the staff we spoke to were foreigners- likely Nepalese and could speak English. The campsite was beautiful with only 5 domes. We stayed in a dome with a private bathroom. The dome was spacious and instagrammable. ||The BBQ dinner set was abundant, and condiments were provided. We seasoned the food while grilling. I liked the breakfast, especially the grilled vegetables and yogurts. ||The staff was helpful, and they could communicate in English. ||However, there’re only a treehouse, a swing and a slide. ここは食事がとても美味しいです。周辺のレストランも限られてますから、ぜひ食事つきで予約してください。 浴室とトイレがあるデラックスタイプテントに泊まりました。浴室もトイレも、テントから10歩くらい歩きますので、これから泊まる人は、1つでもサンダルか使い捨てスリッパがあると良いと思います。 隣のホテルの自販機も飲み物の種類が限られています。チェックインの前に、ペットボトルのお茶など買っておくと良いと思います。（温かいコーヒーやお茶、冷たいミネラルウォーターはあります） テント内には水道がないので、ウェットティッシュなどお持ちですと、ちょっと飲み物で手が汚れたときなど便利です。 ランドリーの洗剤は、隣のホテルの受付まで行かないと買えないので、個包装のものを事前に用意しておくと楽だと思います。
