Akagawa Onsen Spaju — Hotel in Taketa

Stay here if you wish to avoid the crowds. It is spacious and has a huge compound. It is more convenient if you drive and it is easy to find the place using GPS in the daytime. However, it gets quite dark early in winter as you need to drive in the small 100m or so lane leading to the lodging carefully. Perhaps it could do with more lighted markings or signages. Food was not available that day I was there so you need to drive out to Taketa (2 restaurants) or kurokawa area for food. Room is huge and beds good to sleep in. A cozy Onsen with outdoor and indoor spa pools surrounded by grassy plains. Both spa pool are private. The spa water is rich in minerals that makes the skin soft and smooth.
