This is a very excellent hotel for a visit to Oirase Gorge.|1) The staff is polite and efficient. I am especially grateful to front desk Kousuke Narumi who patiently made many calls to JR Shin-Aomori station and JR Sin-Hakodate station to find my handphone which I left on the shinkansen at Hachinohe station. He managed to arrange for me to collect it at Shin-Hakodate station where it was found. He also called a taxi for us to Tsutanuma and arranged for the taxi driver to fetch us back. It costs 3300 yen one way.|He also reserved a taxi for me the next morning to Ishikedo. It costs 2900 yen. He is very helpful and cheerful throughout our time there. He is an asset to this hotel.||2) The room is spacious with a separate sofa area. Bed is very comfortable.|There is a drying rack in the room.||3) There are four separate baths at the onsen room. I love especially the outdoor bath and the jet bath. Toner and moisturizer are also provided. ||4) The quality of the food for both dinner and breakfast are very good. The food is tasty and not salty. The quiche is very delicious. Dinner consists of many courses. I could change my beef course to pork. It was the most enjoyable meal during my 8 days trip.||5) After breakfast, I walked up the slope next to hotel entrance and encountered a forest path which probably leads to Yakeyama. However I did not have time to complete the walk.||6) I took the 3 hours long shinkansen ride from Tokyo and transferred to the Oirase bus at Hachinohe station. There are only two timings for this bus at 10 am and 2.40 pm. Journey is 1.5 hrs. I stopped at Yakeyama and had lunch at Garden Keiryu no Eki Oirase next to bus stop. After lunch, I walked up the slope to the hotel( 20 mins). Fortunately, a hotel employee gave us a lift when he saw...

Check-in was fast and convenient and as I had one of the few single rooms, it was basic but clean and comfortable.||The hotel has a great public bath, with 1 pool outdoors and about 3 indoors, including a sauna. Also the hotel is well equipped with vending machines if you need a drink or snack.||The price of the hotel also included a buffet breakfast offering a huge variety of food and the included dinner was perfect.||Feel free to live in your Yakata anywhere in the hotel.||Activities during the day, if you love walking you can take a nice 5 hour stroll along the river admiring the many waterfalls until you reach the lake or they have a very convenient public bus.||A few things too mention is :||They have no WIFI, but do have a couple of Business computers for use.||I bought a few things from the large supermarket at the main station before heading to the hotel.||Call them before hand to arrange pickup||Breakfast and Dinner included||Would be better if you didn't...
