As the last leg of our trip in Japan we spent two wonderful days at Shimizu Ryokan. After spending two weeks in Japan's major cities it was lovely to visit the small town of Yunohira surrounded by Japan's extraordinarily beautiful nature.||||The service by the staff was perfect. When we first arrived we were picked up from Yunohira station and were also driven to visit Yufuin. Each member of the staff was exceptionally helpful and kind.||||The room was lovely. The view outside was beautiful. We had the best night's sleep of our trip on the comfortable futon.||||Breakfast and dinner were both excellent and gave us a chance to enjoy out a variety of Japanese delicacies that we didn't have the opportunity of trying out earlier on our trip.||||The bathing area was superb. Read moreI visited Shimizu Ryokan in December 2016 (actually check out today). It is located in Yunohira which takes about 10min by train from Yufuin. Since I prefer a quiet and small town for a rest, I choose Yunohira insteaf of Yufuin and it was a perfect choice! Yunohira onsen villege has around 20 Ryokans so that it is really quiet and not crowded like Yufuin. ||When I arrived Yunohira station, the master came to pick us up and it takes about 10min to Ryokan. He speaks English very well and sooo friendly.|The room was quite spacious and great place to take a rest. Also, there are 2 shared onsen and private baths as well. However, it is not crowded so I only used shared onsen. The cape onsen is the signiture onsen of Shimizu and outdoor hotsping is really cozy and has small garden view. | |Dinner and breakfast were also great!||Above all things, master and staffs were really kind and friendly. They cared our schedule because I should take the bus in ths early morning in Yufuin and ride us as well. ||I would love to visit...
