Tala Bay Residence — Hotel in Aqaba

Do not recommend at all Our much-anticipated family trip was utterly ruined by a series of disappointments and frustrations. Despite making a reservation and specifically requesting ground floor rooms to accommodate individuals with babies in strollers and a disabled person in a wheelchair, we were shocked to find that the place was completely unsuitable for people with disabilities. Instead of accommodating our needs, they placed us in an area filled with numerous stairs, making it incredibly difficult to navigate.

To make matters worse, the rooms were located a considerable fifteen-minute walk away from the dining room. Despite our request for assistance, such as using golf cars to aid our transportation, our pleas fell on deaf ears. We were informed by one employee that his colleague ghaith Al zobi instructed him to inform us that golf cars were unavailable, leaving us to endure the long and exhausting trek multiple times a day.

Adding insult to injury, the overall cleanliness of the premises was nothing short of disgusting and filthy. Our hopes of a pleasant stay were shattered as we encountered unclean surfaces and unkempt facilities. The floor around the pool was particularly treacherous, posing a significant risk of accidents due to its slippery condition. Additionally, we discovered a substance around the pool area that caused injuries to our skin, further highlighting the lack of maintenance and care.

Regrettably, these cumulative issues completely marred our vacation, leaving us frustrated, disheartened, and unable to fully enjoy our time together as a family. It is truly disheartening when the anticipation of a wonderful trip is overshadowed by such avoidable disappointments and unpleasant...

Abbiamo prenotato 3 notti in un appartamento sulla spiaggia di Tala Bay.||Indubbiamente il posto e il mare sono meravigliosi, ma la struttura ha deluso le nostre aspettative.||Stabilito che la pulizia non è uguale in tutto il mondo, per 100 euro al giorno mi sarei aspettata qualcosa di più.||L'appartamento lì per lì carino, per carita, ma l'aria condizionata della stanza non era possibile accenderla perchè l'odore era terribile, non era nemmeno possibile non accenderla dato il caldo infernale che c'era fuori....l'unica possibilità è stato quella di accenderla altissima in sala sperando che un pochino arrivasse anche in camera.||Il bagno...vorrei scrivere "no comment", ma sono qui apposta: facevi la doccia nella vasca e l'acqua usciva da una bocchetta nel pavimento davanti alla tazza del gabinetto, il lavandino gocciolava per terra ogni volta che aprivi l'acqua perchè le guarnizioni erano scadenti, il rubinetto se non stavi attento si staccava.||La prima sera rientrati a casa a mezzanotte siamo stati invasi dalle formiche, ma non solo in cucina dove abbiamo pulito come abbiamo potuto (e probabilmente c'era stata l'invasione perchè l'aspirabriciole non era stato pulito, ma era pieno di briciole), ma anche in bagno...soprattuto in bagno. Una fila di formiche lungo il muro e dentro la tazza...pieno! Per fortuna abbiamo trovato un insetticida per mosche che abbiamo usato intossicando anche noi stessi e bene o male siamo riusciti a debellare.||La notte però....alzandomi per andare in bagno ho trovato anche un simpatico scarafaggio che ho raccolto con la carta igienica e buttato nel gabinetto.||In casa trovi due asciugamani per la doccia e un per il lavandino, non c'è tappetino e non trovi carta igienica o altro...devi comprare tutto fuori...quindi o vai all'unico market che c'è in tala bay o vai ad aqaba...solo che il market è ovviamente carissimo ed andare ad aqaba (a meno che non ci si debba andare per altri motivi) è complicato, nel senso che non ci sono navette di alcun tipo: ci hanno consigliato di metterci sulla strada e aspettare che passasse un taxi, poi per fortuna è passata la navetta per lo staff che a pagamento ci ha caricati (10JD...11 euro) e ci ha portati in città...al ritorno un taxi per 8JD ci ha riportato a casa.||La spiaggia è bellissima...il mare anche...abbiamo fatto snorkelling con la nostra attrezzatura, ma bisogna comprare assolutamente gli scarpini perchè rischi di farti male (una signora si è aperta un piede proprio sotto i miei occhi), al bar sotto la piscina le puoi comprare per 5JD (6 euro).||Io non consiglio questa struttura soprattutto per il rapporto prezzo qualità...consiglio il posto che è bellissimo...quindi magari è meglio andare negli alberghi tipo il Radisson oppure il Marina Plaza...e non in appartamento è troppo caro e poi ti devi veramente comprare tutto e la pulizia anche delle stoviglie lascia molto...

We are not resort people but very little option in the area and we were pleasantly surprised. The pools and communal areas are very well maintained (although no pool towels to be seen), and also the restaurants are pretty good. Breakfast is disappointing. Not a lot of variety , glad we were only there 2 nights or would’ve got very bored.||The apartment was generally good, very spacious with a good balcony but poorly stocked and not very clean. The balcony was covered in bird droppings which had obviously been there a while as they were dried on. Clearly not swept. Likewise the outdoor furniture was not clean. Only 1 cup and no bowls. We phoned to ask for some and were brought glasses and plates! The sofa also needs a good clean. If housekeeping upped their game this would be a pleasant resort. Music also not to intrusive although why it needs to be on round the pool when there is nobody there is a mystery. I had to find a lounger away...
