An Embarrassment to Hospitality – Avoid at All Costs

I rarely write reviews, but my experience at this hotel was so shockingly poor that I feel compelled to warn others. What was supposed to be a relaxing stay turned into a masterclass in hospitality failures within just the first few hours.

Service & Management: Nonexistent From check-in onward, the staff treated guests as inconveniences rather than customers. Simple requests were met with indifference, and management might as well have been fictional—repeated attempts to speak with them were brushed off with "they're in meetings," with no follow-up ever coming.

Key Card Nightmare The electronic keys failed repeatedly—four times in just a few hours. Each trip to the front desk for reactivation was met with the same blank stare, as if this were a normal occurrence rather than a glaring operational failure.

Unforgivable Policy: No Beach Towels For a property marketing itself as a resort, the policy of not providing beach towels is nothing short of ridiculous. When questioned, staff coldly cited "hotel policy" as if that justified such a basic service failure. Meanwhile, the pool and beach areas were littered with hazards like broken glass and cigarette butts.

Misrepresented Facilities & Dirty Rooms The reality bears no resemblance to the advertised photos. Entire sections of the property were closed off, either for indefinite "maintenance" or outright abandonment. My room featured stained linens, suggesting housekeeping cuts corners just like management does.

Nickel-and-Dime Exploitation Unlike every comparable property in the area, this hotel charges even for drinking water by the pool. The restaurant—offering just three lackluster dishes—seemed like an afterthought.

Final Verdict This isn't hospitality—it's a cynical operation preying on travelers. If you value your time, money, or dignity: cancel your booking if possible. Sleeping in your car or at a public beach would at least spare you the insult of paying for...

As an avid traveler, I've stayed at numerous hotels around the world, but my recent experience at O Beach Hotel left much to be desired. Despite the ongoing ArmAt conflict, the hotel showed no flexibility or compassion towards its guests.

Upon booking, I was optimistic about my stay at O Beach Hotel , attracted by its promising amenities and convenient location. However, circumstances beyond my control forced me to cancel my reservation. Unfortunately, the hotel's rigid policy regarding cancellations proved to be a major inconvenience.

Despite explaining the situation and the unpredictable nature of the conflict, (Muslims conflict which made Jordon to close the airline, so we couldn't fly there) the staff remained indifferent and unaccommodating. Their refusal to offer any form of refund or rescheduling option left me feeling frustrated and disheartened.

Furthermore, the lack of empathy displayed by the management towards guests impacted by external factors reflects poorly on the establishment's commitment to customer satisfaction. In times of uncertainty, hospitality should extend beyond the confines of profit margins.

Overall, my experience at O beach Hotel was marred by their inflexible policies and lack of understanding. I would caution future travelers to consider alternative accommodations that prioritize customer welfare over strict adherence to...

We paid around 25 euros to get in, we paid it as at the time of year (early December) literally nowhere else was open so it was our only option. Once in, after paying 25 euros just to enter, we thought we would at a minimum have a towel included. When asked, we were told that was an extra 3 euros. Clean towels, but very visibly old and used various times with threads loose, etc. The dead sea is very cool and definitely worth a visit. But we saw people covered in mud and we requested this too - another 5 euros per person. We opted to skip this experience. All of this could have been all right if the place were well maintained and clean. But the bathrooms were, quite honestly, disgusting. As if they hadn't been cleaned but constantly used in the last three months. The changing rooms were passable but equally badly maintained and i wouldn't use the word clean to describe them. And no hot water. I didn't dip in the pools, but they looked clean enough from afar. I can't comment on them. In short, it's definitely worth seeing the dead sea but I certainly wouldn't return to this spot to see it for the price they are asking.

My recent experience at Porto Dead Sea was deeply disappointing and far below BASIC expectations. From the moment we arrived, the conditions were in very bad condition for a resort of its advertisement. The rooms were in very poor condition—worn-down furniture, questionable cleanliness, and inadequate maintenance. The level of hygiene did not meet even SIMPLE expectations, and the overall atmosphere was uncomfortable. Furthermore, the beach area was unclean and neglected, making it nearly impossible to enjoy the natural beauty of the Dead Sea. The swimming pools were filled with an overwhelming amount of chlorine, which irritated the skin and eyes. The pool experience was harsh. Very. AND WOULD SOMEBODY PLEASE PUT A WARNING SIGN FOR THE SLIPPERY AREA, I SLIPPED AND FELL DOWN AND THE STAFF DID NOT EVEN CARE, NOT EVEN A FIRST AID KIT WAS OFFEREd OR AVAILABLE ! Dining was another major issue. The food was overpriced and often undercooked, raising serious concerns about food safety. In addition, the beach towels provided were in terrible condition—stained, worn out, and frankly, disgusting.

You can see their sign board right outside as you drive by. Free parking for visitors! Our room came with a great sea view and we were very happy! Room is very spacious, there is a clothes hanging line and hair dryer in the bathroom. (Some room may be a bit dusty as it wasn’t occupied for a while due to the war, but the cleaner cleaned the room for us again before we move in) The beach itself was veryyyy spectacular. You literally can see salt formations and the water is very clear. They also provide Dead Sea mud for you to apply on yourself before going into the water. There is lunch or dinner buffet for 14 JOD, but we opt for the ala carte option instead. Food portion was huge. There’s also a little gift shop that sells souvenirs and Dead Sea product. Mohammed, who man the shop is very friendly and helpful. The staff of this hotel is also very friendly. We loved the breakfast and the sea view!
