First impressions were good. I sent a message, via booking website I used, asking for airport transfers, to which I received a reply very quickly. My flight to Astana was delayed, so I was worried the driver would not be there. But he was, which was a big relief. And he spoke English. The car looked a little beat up, but he got me there.||The choice for this hotel was driven by the price. I was only going to Astana for two days (for the Expo and the Cirque du Soleil show) and I didn't want to spend a fortunate on a chain hotel. I guess you get what you pay for. ||The room was tiny, with worn carpet and damaged walls. No soundproofing, you can hear everything that happens in the next room, the hallway, and outside. I used the slippers the hotel provided, because I didn't trust the carpet. The bathroom, was also small, but clean, although the towels smelled a little funny.||The bed was very comfortable, but again, the sheets smelled strange; must be the detergent or the water.||Breakfast was not very good. Very small selection, stale bread and cereal.||The hotel is in a residential area, far from everything. Uber works well though, although the drivers struggled finding the hotel.||Staff were very friendly and efficient. The four people I spoke to all spoke English, and both my wake-up call and the taxi to go back to the airport were there.||Overall, if the hotel were better, I could have lived with the location, or if the location were better, I could have lived with the hotel. Unfortunately, both hotel and location left...
Read moreThe hotel and its facilities (incl. rooms, bathrooms, etc) are very new and clean. The staff is very friendly and service orientated. ||The hotel is situated in a courtyard and surrounded by appartment blocks. That ensures quiet nights (I slept very well). Breakfast, which was included in my deal, was simple but good. The one dinner I had in the hotel restaurant was good.||||The only 2 (minor!) minus points I have are: ||- Location. The hotel is a little outside but the city centre can be reached with a taxi in a few mins for ca. 800 KZT.||- Internet connection in the hotel room: The connection in my room was not stable (I guess teething problems). However in the lobby and the dining room the connections were perfect. So I just made myself comfortable there to check emails...||||All in all very good value for money. Would definitely chose to stay here again.||||Note: There is no fitness room nor is there a...
Read moreThe room was nice and good, watch the stairs, steps are not equal, no elevator.||||The staff is very friendly and helpful, sometimes a bit to much on their telephone :D ||Thats maybe accepted in Asia.||||The breakfast could definitely be improved. Milk, Kefir, Yoghurt, and other drinks are not cooled, and because of that not fresh or maybe rotten. ||||The eggs, sausage, where only heated the first day. Why not the other days. Sometimes no bread available. And some parts of the breakfast where already gone, so in that case bad luck. ||||If you want to get more international guests, make them know by nameplates what they eat/drink. ||||The music in the morning is sometimes too loud, maybe the taste of the young people who work there but maybe not...
