The place is very lovely. I’ve gone there twice. It’s a nice place to get away to just unwind and chill and relax while still in Watamu. Jane is amazing. She’s very welcoming and always very available and present to just assist when you need anything. I would highly highly recommend it for a getaway, relaxing getaway .

Amazing tranquil villa with AMAZING private pool. Don't hesitate, just stay here for as long as possible. Very friendly and helpful owner. 10 mins motorbike into Watamu town center.

Travelling is about Hospitality. But there are also some minimal standards – if they are not fulfilled, your stay can become miserable. Unfortunately, this has been our experience at this place, and I would not recommend it to anyone to stay there: No or very little privacy, intrusion in your place to a frightening level: During the first night, someone was walking around midnight in front of our bedroom. During the third night, someone was walking by at 00:15, 2:22, 5:52, and 6:40. This night was terrifying. Also, the staff can look through your bathroom windows. There are three dogs, and they are hard to keep away from your place: One of the three owner’s dogs opened the doors to our apartment a few times. When trying to get the dog out, it bit me in my hand. Dirtiness / Wornness of furniture, cushions, kitchen equipment – see photos. No real/proper internet access – much too slow – even simple apps could not be used. Chemicals / Chlorine used in the pool during early morning hours – next to your bed / see photos. A host shouting at staff in the meanest way I have experienced – very racist. Rules of no guests allowed- Apparently, this rule means that no one else is allowed on the premises including anyone who comes to visit you the guest. In the middle of the forest -expect at least 20min walking to the beach or always be dependent on calling a motorcycle or a tuk-tuk. No flexibility in check-out times: when asking whether we could check out between 11-12 we were told that at 11 am we needed to vacant the house. Attempts of scamming: the owner asked us to pay immediately the bill when we arrived. She added a markup of 3% for credit card fees. Finally, a host who is not sensitive to your needs despite your requests for corrections, shouting at you, and not willing to apologize for anything. In conclusion, I think most of the 10 / excellent reviews are fake. Look at the real reviews that...

Jane is an absolute gem! I’d definitely recommend Nyumba Nyekundu to anyone and everyone who wants some peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of life.

The rooms were beautifully and so thoughtfully decorated daily. I loved the decor and interior furnishings. Staff was amazing, helpful, kind and considerate of all my needs. They respected my privacy and catered for all my needs within their capacity and whatever wasn’t in their capacity they directed me to the right people. The plunge pools and outdoor area were the cherry on the cake.. I loved spending my time there introspecting reflecting on the year.

Jane also arranged for Dorothy, a massage therapist to come around for me. Her massage was the best I’ve had in a very long time. She gave it with so much love and was careful about my pain areas. Absolutely beautiful! She also arranged for Nduta, to come around and facilitate impeccable manicures and pedicures.

The cute and very warm doggos were so chilled out and when they did cross my path (which was very rarely), a little love and petting went a long way-I mean who doesn’t want to be showered with love 💜

Thank you Jane and your entire team. I feel relaxed, rejuvenated and ready to attack the remainder of the year and already looking forward to...

Una sproporzione davvero esagerata per la qualità offerta.||------------------------------------------------------------------||Enchanting location, convenient to the Garoda beach and the main road. However, improvements are needed: more attention to cleaning (too much dust inside the apartment, faded and worn towels) and above all a bit of restyling on essential elements for a place like Kenya (holey mosquito nets, dust on the blades...).||||I would like to say a few words about the owner, or perhaps one would be enough: UNSPEAKABLE.||She has never made herself available to listen to our needs.||She hindered the access of a family member to the structure even though one of the two guests needed a medical check-up.||Lastly, she tried in every way to deny the evidence in front of the sightings filmed with videos and photos (3 in one week), by all the guests (2 couples in different rooms), of mice inside the two apartments, passing them off as geckos!||The owner's 3 dogs roam undisturbed around the property. One evening we even found them in the garden and outside the door while we were having dinner. Even though I myself am a dog lover, perhaps a slightly too intrusive presence.||At our check out the same one did not even deign to say goodbye nor did she apologize for the various inconveniences.||||P.s. the employees of the structure are delightful people (Jackoson the jack-of-all-trades a real host!), but unfortunately "slaves" of a truly lacking management.||Crazy the expense for the 10 days of stay (700 euros)! A truly exaggerated disproportion for the...
