Rainbow Ruiru Resort — Hotel in Gatongora ward

Booked this hotel for a few nights and told all rooms quiet when making this request. On one night we couldn't sleep until gone 1.00 due to very loud PA from function in the hotel. It took 3 requests and the managers involvement before the noise was turned down!! Informed it was because the people in the function room were drunk but this makes no difference!! Perhaps functions are more important at this hotel than residents that wish to sleep!!||||All amenities at the hotel have to be paid for besides the pool and after the first two occasions of providing milk for tea and coffee in the room they started charging us for request for a little milk, presenting us with two large glasses!! Breakfast has to be pre-ordered, with little choice offered but still managed to get the order wrong!! On several occasions that got requests wrong even when Swahili used!!||||The water to the rooms was only moderately warm in the evening, and in the morning was cold!! On check - in, told they had a problem with the hot water which would be sorted by evening but evident this is a long-term essential issue!! The wash basin tap was loose, with no water coming from hot water side and even though reported it was the same a week later!!||||We noticed stains on the duvet cover and evidence that the room is hardly cleaned!! This hotel claims to be a resort with a 3-4 star rating but have stayed in 2 star hotels that provide the basic essentials to be far superior. ||||We are rarely drawn to criticise buy unfortunately this establishment...

I honestly feel like the managers and waiters can ruin a very good establishment. I was here for a birthday last year, 2022, and we were served exemplary good Now, this year, 2023, i decide why not, but this time round, the service is poor..... very bad, especially in the swimming pool area, Cate Denzel and John Kamiti made me regret why i went back. The management asked me to book the cake a day before i did pay up... but on that actual day, they kept on making us wait.... unfortunately, the surprise that was intended did not happen, and we were forced to carry the cake takeaway 😬😬😬🙄😒
