Crater lake camp — Hotel in Maiella ward

There's a short hike to Leopard's Rock which gives a spectacular view of the whole lake and the camp. In the evening they have a sundowner at the rock which sadly I didn't get to experience. Isaac at the reception and Japheth at the restaurant were really helpful. James showed us around and is really knowledgeable about the plants and animals around. There's a resident flamingo which I named Flemington. It got injured so it can't fly. Such a beautiful and relaxing place. Boat rides have to be booked in advance as well as game drives if you choose not to use...

Beautiful setting for a peaceful and tranquil weekend away! The rooms were clean, comfortable and warm, each with their own private deck that had beautiful views of the lake. Highly recommend the walk around the crater rim (approx 4kms) which is well sign posted and also has great views...
