Elsa Hotel Meru — Hotel in Meru

I went to Elsa hotel having read reviews and I was not dissapointed. The hotel staff are very helpful and the hotel is clean. They allowed me to patiently check different rooms before settling for one. The beds are big and comfy and the rooms clean. |On the catering side, the food was great and it is wonderful they even have Indian food, which they even allowed me to switch to despite having given an order. The food is fresh and great, with generous servings. |On the flip side, the deluxe rooms don't have bathtubs and so don't go there expecting one as only a few rooms have them. If you driving there when darkness as set in, be keen to watch for the signpost as it is not very visible. If you find yourself driving out of town, kindly stop and ask for directions. The hotel is in a good quite place and safe. The staff at Elsa, including manager Edith, provided us with a lovely and comfortable stay. Rooms are comfortable with mosquito nets surrounding the beds. Our bed’s mattress was firm and felt great. We needed extra towels and pillows and they happily accommodated us. We had breakfasts and dinners at the hotel and the food was very nice and fresh. The WiFi did not work in our room so we had to go to the lobby to check our emails, social media and internet. The shower in the room was tricky and took a little while to figure it out. Turn the water heater on for five minutes, then only turn on the hot water knob slightly. If the water is too hot, turn the hot water knob to increase flow. I arrived on a Tuesday afternoon from Nairobi . After a 3 .5 hour drive, I was met by Susan who cheked me in and because there was a delay in relating details from Nairobi , Sam the GM confidently made sure I was given nothing but the very best. The food is amazing chef Bakari and his team am great full. Nahashon over at the bar was great as well .Have a mentioned how kind the team manning the gate were every day my car was spotless despite the rains .|WiFi available on the ground floor and possibly 1st floor if your lucky .Elsa is my home in Meru .
