Marura Holiday Resort & Hotel & Apartment — Hotel in Mtepeni ward

The management at this place is a joke! Not professional what so ever, this place is supposed to be friendly and relaxing. Management / security allow anyone to enter no matter what time it is. Management allowed people smash glasses around the pool area, loud music played all night not allowing other guests to sleep, girls walking around the pool NAKED, this is disgusting considering it’s a family resort where children are present. Chicken bones left in the pool, myself and my family stayed in our rooms for the last 4 days we was there as we couldn’t relax by the pool without these people trying to intimidate me and my family, arguing and laughing at us. The manager defended these people and would not reason with us what so ever. It is not secure as security allow anyone to enter. We caught the manager getting drunk with these people and seducing one of the guests that was there. I will not be visiting this place again, absolutely disgusting and shocking behaviour. This is not a family resort this is a place for students to get drunk and have sex with old men. No air conditioning in the rooms, the sockets in the walls were hanging out, that was an electric shock waiting to happen. My daughter's shower was not working correctly. 5 days after arriving 2 bus full of people arrived, very noisey, inappropriate behaviour during the day and night. Glasses broken around the pool area, food in the pool. Complained to the manager, which we then witnessed that she was drinking with these people and can clearly tell that she was involved with these guys. The place may be deceiving due to the photos, DO NOT at any cost go there.. Even with no alternative left. You will check in comfortably at low price but when not in the room.. The staff goes through your things and steal from you. The management does not handle it, no one attends to you late night.. No air conditioning, poor room states.. Its unbearable. But you can risk it. I have personally been robbed, and a few months later, my friends too.. With the same remarks. The choice is yours. Plus the closest beach is 10mins walk..
