My family and I stayed at this hotel for the first 5 days we were in the hotel. The first problem was no water in the toilet to flush. I complained about this right away. NOTHING was done. We had to fetch water, pour into the water reservoir in the toilet to flush. Remember we were paying $130/night for this room. I will not recommend anyone stay here at all. Why when you can spend $100/night at other 5 star hotels in the city. I wanted a B&B because I thought it would be an enjoyable experience- something different-NOT. ||||Also due to miscommunication I was informed that breakfast was $15. Two days before checking out my friend asked me why we were not eating at the hotel. I told them its $15 and they said it should be included and they would ask for me. They asked and another staff member reported that breakfast was included. So yes please let all the staff members have the correct information to impart to guests. || ||The rooms are very very cold at night for those who are sensitive to cold. ||||The walls in this B&B are very thin. You hear everything going on in the next rooms or outside- so noise will be your friend nightly. ||||The biggest thing that I feel peeved me more than anything is being defrauded by the so called assistant manager. He is a young man who until this time I thought had been very helpful. I asked him if he would help us secure a taxi everyday we were there and he was gracious enough to call them for me. He would tell us the price and tell my husband and I that he had spoken to the driver and secured us the best deal possible. Later on I met one of the drivers at the tail end of my time in Nairobi and while I was at a different hotel. I asked him if he had received the money i left for his fare rate. The assistant manager had asked me to leave the pay with him and not worry about paying the driver. He told me yes he did. He mentioned a price that was 600 ksh less than what I paid. I asked him if he was sure that was the amount he received and he told me yeah the price would never be more than that. So it seems the 600ksh was the fee the assistant manager paid himself. Now I was just crest fallen that the people who work at this B&B who are supposed to be looking out for you, helping you navigate Nairobi as a whole are the same people who are defrauding you of your hard earned money. Shame shame shame on you, and biggest shame on that assistant manager. I understand trying to get ahead in life- but at the expense of your integrity- not worth it young man. Read moreThe facility is great and had visited before making final decision to come for a weekend out with my wife. I had preferred Safari room, that what i had seen and liked. On arrival I was told all was well and I should pay first. After payment we were told Safari was not possible since there would be other guests arriving late on that block that would make noise for us. We were given no choice but to take Shimoni. This room was not yet made, it was extremely dirty, with visible dust on bed head boards and other furniture and towels in the bathroom. We insisted they clean the room. One light was not working and we asked for help which never came till we left. We had called an hour before arrival for dinner booking (6pm) we arrived shortly before 7pm and had to wait till 9:30pm for dinner. The swimming pool is but a breeding place for mosquitoes which troubled us the whole first night. The doors are nor sealed so they traffic in and out||There was a series of other disappointments on the next day too. ||I believe the workers especially Susan and Simon are doing their best. Very friendly and welcoming.||Workers here are hardly equipped for their job. Three weeks to the wedding the management (director) decided to cancel and made a refund without considering that have printed cards, program, took marriage certificate from sheria house which takes 4 weeks to get and had paid most of my vendors. This means am starting afresh, changing wedding dates and paying most of the things afresh. This is an hotel you can't trust to do business with.
